yeah, engineered with to meet the bare minimum strength to do what it's advertised to do. I doubt you could stack 1500lbs on the front bumper and have the truck drive right
Shoutout for the OG SHO reference!!!
In 2002 I bought a 1991 SHO which had been registered in Germany since 1991. :) I didn't know you had to check the crankshaft bearings at 100k miles though and it died on Autobahn A6 at 172k miles in 2004 :(
Thanks y'all!
The videos I watched for running wires to the engine they went driver side by loosening the under body panels. Then they just zip-tied the wire to assorted random other wires or connections.
I saw that giant oval grommet from the headliner thread and will try to snake something...

1- I don't want to use the Ford provided 12v wire for the Curt trailer lights adapter.
2- All the Youtube videos have people running wires up to the engine bay (even on hybrids?!?!)
3- So what's a better way to run a power wire from the battery out to go under...
I haven't read of ANYONE having issues with flat towing and the brake system turning off.
You'll definitely want a 12v feed from the RV (WITH DIODE) to keep the Maverick 12v battery from dying while driving.
I put a cheap powered sub behind the back seat and it really improved the sound.
This is still going strong after a couple years https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079PRCP9W?th=1
I used a command strip to mount the volume to the center arm rest. Easy to wire the sub straight to the hybrid battery, and...
Goal is to let the gas engine shut off more. Brake earlier and slower. Accelerate regular (or even hard) then let off the gas to "coast" in electric mode (up to about 45mph).
Putting a spot in the front of the bed to drop and plug in an extra battery could be kinda cool. Very expensive though- there are reasons cellphones with swappable batteries aren't sold anymore.
Some of y'all are funny. There is NO WAY Ford can build an EV that sells cheaper than most others and has a long range.
Most people in the USA only drive 40miles/ day.
meh, you have to use a whole hand to open the latch, takes a second to use same hand to lower the tailgate.
I'd prefer help raising it again instead of making it more resistant to raise!
Send the info to a news station in the city of the dealership and ask them to talk with the dealership about what the issue is?
Publicity about stupid junk often gets results
