  1. Who is the target market for Ford Maverick

    Hmmm....More info please?
  2. Who is the target market for Ford Maverick

And yet another old boomer. I needed an inexpensive tow vehicle...truck or not. So far, I've used the bed to carry a bed-full of mulch bags and about 30 styrofoam medical containers. (my wife's chill packs) to the recycling depot. I may do a utility shed in the back yard when i can figure out...
  3. 10 Secrets of the Maverick

I understand your concerns Dad. I'm all for recycling and a clean environment but good luck finding a reusable SS water bottle that is only 2.8 inches in diameter and that doesn't use any plastics in some form.
  4. 10 Secrets of the Maverick

Interesting. What's the diameter and asking for the other poster, is there any plastic in it?
  5. 10 Secrets of the Maverick

One type of water bottle that fits into the door is the Mainstays 22 oz Blue and Silver Plastic Water Bottle with Screw Cap from Walmart. Appropriate to the Maverick experience, they're only about $1.00 each.
  6. Alert: There are no complaints in this post

Eco-boost 2.0 Here. I generally use Eco mode which is intended to give you the least expenditure of fuel / elec. energy. My trip odo is at about 3K and it reads 34.7 MPG So, that's a long term average reading. One thing that I think can be going on is that the trans computer is adaptive and...
  7. Help me fix the 2025 Maverick (your photos please)

Hmmm... I guess that we need a bigger ...umm truck then. Or perhaps, I could design a GAU-3.5 ;-)
  8. Alarm question

I would assume that the lights will blink when the alarm goes off. Here's a different alarm that I just tested: " Test it by rolling the window down and getting out and locking the truck. Reach in and open the door and the Alarm should go off. " This causes the vehicle to produce a different...
  9. Alarm question

Did you get the honking to quit somehow? I found this quickly on the net: "Why is my car horn honking by itself? A damaged relay might be responsible for your car honking when parked. A stuck horn switch, a bad alarm system, incompatible car parts, and dirty or damaged ground cables are other...
  10. Help me fix the 2025 Maverick (your photos please)

    I'm thinking a pair of GAU-8s
  11. Help me fix the 2025 Maverick (your photos please)

    Guaranteed...someone will make it so.!
  12. TipTop tonneau

I'm curious how you did this check. Did you lock yourself up in the bed? or put a light in the bed and walked around in the dark? I found an issue on mine back where the locks are. They didn't exactly put the foam tape properly to seal it up.
  13. Updated FordPass app

I may not be using the terminology correctly but here's how I gather it. AT&T offers three months for free as a hook to have your vehicle turn into a WIFI hot spot for a small radius around the car... like 25 Ft. Which will work as long as the car's system is on. I was just on the AT&T page and...
  14. Updated FordPass app

Yes. Mine has this feature provided by AT&T but I'm not opting to add another monthly bill to my expenses. I also don't do Sirius Satellite. https://www.ford.com/support/category/fordpass/fordpass-connect-wifi-hotspot/
  15. Could These Mods Be a Disaster for Aerodynamics? Experts Weigh In!"

My opinion is that these have little to no impact on MPG amounts. If anything the front lower spoiler looks to me like it may actually raise the front up if going fast enough ...maybe at about 650kts of air speed.. but I'm not inclined to try it. These are intended for looks only. If you don't...
  16. Back seat headrests

True that but I wouldn't find that to be much of a problem. I also find it interesting that the locking mechanism to remove the headrest on the Escape that we have has the buttons on both posts and the Maverick has it only on the one.
  17. Back seat headrests

The rear seat headrests from our 2017 Escape will fit in the back of the Maverick. I'd change them out but the fabric isn't the same color.
  18. Newbie - active louver question

Well crikey. I thought they were only to help the vehicle to warm up quicker like the big truckers have in the winter. Good info on that link.
