No I did not paint them after, but we don't have much rust issues here, we don't get the roads salted during our 50 degree winters.:crackup:

Just installed these bars from Realtruck. Amber gave me a nice discount, and got them yesterday. I had the same issue as others with the 'nut plates' for the right side bars for the Hybrid, but was able to make them work. I love the look, and they are very steady/strong feeling. The directions...

Looks like it may be a little too big? I had a cover over my rear widow on my2003 Sport trac, it was just big enough that I could leave the rear window cracked on those hot days to vent the heat. I used to leave that window and the side windows cracked, really helped on the Florida summer days.

A lot of these responses say they will not buy another Mav because the price has gone up????? Show me something, (car,truck, whatever), that has not had a price increase, and not just tariff related. Yup, did the same with mine. Because the replacement lugs tend to show the aluminum color around the smaller lugs, I painted around the lugs with a touch-up pen. All black .(y)

Yea, I had to remove the fender liner clips and push the tabs from behind the fender. Still broke one of the clips on the light, but I won't be re-using the original. If I want to, a little 3m tape would hold it in place. I really like the smoked, and the Lasfit amber bulbs are plenty bright...
