I didn't trust the automatic braking so as I approached another car, I stomped on the brake pedal. Unfortunately, my oily work boot slipped off and I stomped the gas pedal to the floor. By the time that I corrected, it was too late. Bam!
I'm still waiting for parts availability. At two months I'm going to reach out to FORD. There are parts being produced, but they are all being used to build trucks for sales profit. :frown:
I was getting combined city/highway 42.6mpg in my Lariat hybrid AWD with 4K tow. Drove it three days then bam! It's been in the body shop since 2/10 waiting on parts not yet available.
2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD. Mustang Mach-E GT wheels with 255/50R20 All Season tires. Rough Country 2.5" lift kit. The problem is that I didn't get to install them yet. My truck got wrecked three days after delivery and it's been almost two months in the body shop waiting on parts. I'll...
The only issue that I had with Discount Tire was they would mount my new online purchased snow tires to my winter steel wheels, but refused to install them onto the truck. The truck had 275/65R 20" load index 126 tires on it that I installed when new and the 245/75R 17" load index 123 studded...
Paintless dent repair fixed my Nissan Versa like new for only $300. I got top dollar trade-in at the FORD dealer on 2/7/25. Ricky's Dent Shop in E-town, KY is my go to.
The twin turbo 2.7L V6 drivetrain from a Fusion Sport is totally doable in the Maverick. Tune it to 375hp on E-85. They are like second cousins, made in Mexico. 😆 The front brakes from a Lobo would help tame those ponies.
There are already 12 second Maverick pickups running around with 2.3L...
Given my health and age, I would never live long enough to see a payback for a huge solar investment in KY. I have five 200watt solar panels for my RV for convenience when I travel again. I hope to finish the installation after I recover from my second knee replacement next month. I would...
Oh, I thought you meant the roof of your car. I couldn't imagine more than about 200watts of solar surface area on the roof of an older EV. 😆
I didn't realize that you dropped tens of thousands of dollars for "free" electricity. My bad.
Imagine if you will, driving the third day after delivery and doing $10,000 damage to your Maverick. No ETA on parts since 2/10. I'm certainly traumatized and depressed. The check hadn't even cleared the bank yet.
Nice looking truck. I put almost 500 miles on my '25 Lariat hybrid AWD the first three days, then I wrecked it. It's been almost two months in the body shop waiting on parts with no availability date. 😒 💔
So a rooftop solar panel (perhaps 180w) is enough current inverted to 120vac to produce consistent charging? A used EV with reduced battery capacity and range at that. Wow. I'm surprised. What's next, cars that run on love?
