  1. Issues with Tariffs, both Mexico AND Canada [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS ALREADY BANNED FOR IT]

The last time I checked this was a FORD Maverick forum. GM & RAM don't concern me. I work for a company that builds frames for FORD trucks and I've owned more than a half dozen FORD trucks. It would appear that my 8th FORD truck, an 2025 Maverick Lariat hybrid AWD likely slid in just under the...
  2. Sometimes the best outcomes come from the worst scenarios! (aka 2025 Hybrid AWD - Ruiner of bank accounts!)

Guilty as charged! I have a full truck bed of accessories pilled up here!
  3. Sometimes the best outcomes come from the worst scenarios! (aka 2025 Hybrid AWD - Ruiner of bank accounts!)

Congratulations on your new truck purchase. It's amazing how you were able to expand a sentence into a full article. I replaced my deer totaled Subaru with a Maverick AWD. Interesting story. I had three deer conspire to take out my Volkswagen Jetta in 2006. It drove the last 1/2 mile home to...
  4. New 25 % tariff on mavericks on 02/25 [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS; INFRACTIONS GIVEN]

I confirmed my 2025 Maverick Lariat hybrid AWD has been built and is in Hermasillo, Mexico awaiting transport. I signed a sales agreement when I purchased my pickup and I won't pay more due to tariffs.
  5. 2025 tpms different than 22-24

Well, pooh! I guess I'll take it my 315Mhz 2022 TPMS and install a set of Autel dual frequency programmable TPMS. I have an Autel programer but it won't read Schrader on my Superduty, so I'll likely have to use forscan to get their codes to clone from my OE wheels. Sadly, my lifetime license...
  6. Lightweight rims and tires.

Awww, how cute. Anodized 80/20. I love that stuff. This takes me back 30 years.
  7. Painting brake calipers

I found high heat Ford Blue at Rural King. I bought two cans to put several coats on my new 4-piston calipers. I'm just waiting for a break in the weather. (0° tonight) My steel wheels will mostly hide the brakes, but a hint of blue poking through will be nice.
  8. Engineering a Maverick bolt-on 4-piston front brake caliper kit

Thank you for your concerns. I'll let y'all know how it turns out. Have a nice day!
  9. Engineering a Maverick bolt-on 4-piston front brake caliper kit

Sometimes when you buy replacement parts they are knock offs. I didn't intentionally choose knock off parts. Have you considered a career as a professional nag? You are pretty good at it.
  10. Engineering a Maverick bolt-on 4-piston front brake caliper kit

Most Maverick owners will not regularly push their truck to it's limits and will not experience brake fade. They will suffice with stock brakes for the life of their truck. Other Maverick owners occasionally load their truck to the maximum and experience sustained hard braking down long...
  11. Engineering a Maverick bolt-on 4-piston front brake caliper kit

When I install much larger diameter tires and tow or haul at the maximum ratings, coming down mountains, I want to be able to have smooth and controlled braking. It's a performance upgrade similar to the Maverick Lobo system. Ford engineers know that this is a superior braking setup when these...
  12. Lightweight rims and tires.

I was surprised to hear that Racerzz was 68, has three motorcycles and is still drifting around corners. Geeze! 🫨
  13. Engineering a Maverick bolt-on 4-piston front brake caliper kit

This week I'll replace the caliper steel bolts that are not zinc plated. I have to check the factory torque spec as well. My prototype calipers are Chinese Brembo clones with OE Brembo ceramic pads. I may avoid potential liability by making a parts list for DIY versus building retail kits. I'll...
  14. Fell asleep at the wheel.

I'm glad you are unharmed. I'm glad that I ordered the same system as I work 12hr night shift and have a 104 mile daily commute. This NHTSA link looks fishy to me though:
  15. Lightweight rims and tires.

My land requres 4x4/AWD and grippy tires about 30% of the time. Since my Mav is going to be my daily and I will tow with its 4k pkg, I can't slam it with wide slicks. Heck, even my 7' tall F-350 Superdoodie air dam bottomed out on my land. So it's the late '80's compact 4x4 truck look I'm going...
  16. Engineering a Maverick bolt-on 4-piston front brake caliper kit

Howdy, I have started work on a bolt-on four-piston caliper front brake kit for Maverick pickups. My truck will be lifted with the Rough Country 2.5" full suspension system and I'm running 235/75R17 tires with OEM steel wheels. HEL is supplying 2" longer custom brake lines. I have not decided...
  17. Lightweight rims and tires.

I decided to brave the cold for a bit and brought these indoors to test assemble. It's a bolt-on kit I'm working on for Maverick pickups. I'll test fit them in February.
