Now that I have mine and I have been showing people I know, no one seems to know what a Maverick is. It's strange that this truck is so top of mind for everyone in this forum but out in the real world it is still very unknown.
I think Ford really needs to get more of these on the road for folks...
I can't even image driving one of those large trucks. I have always liked smaller cars and trucks. 2001 Cherokee XJ was my favorite size so far.
But having been driving my Maverick for the last two days, to me, it doesn't drive small. I'm not feeling like I'm in a small truck, that's for sure...
I can't comment on the other manufactures, but I can confirm that the CPlay2Air is working fine with my Lariat Lux Sync3. It was also working fine in my 2016 VW GTI where I ran it for 2 months before getting my Maverick.
I'll see if I can get time today to get a video of it starting up from...
It can be a bit slow on startup but itāll connect usually within 30sec. I donāt mind as I most of the time leave the phone in my pocket and Iām fumbling around with other stuff before I put it in drive and go.
Also the response for skip track, play, pause, once started is a little slower than...
Follow up. Looks like itās on sale since I purchased mine a couple months ago. Not many things are going down in price lately. Nice to see something is. š
I put about 100 miles on it today and I really do like the way it drives. Very car like and not much sway in the corners.
One thing I noticed tonight in my Ford pass app is that the dealer or at the manufacturer had set the psi on all 4 tires to 43! The door sill states 35, so I lowered them...
Picked up my lariat lux today and I wanted to post that I can confirm that the wireless CarPlay adapter sold at https://cplay2air.com/ does indeed work with the Maverick. Now I can just put my phone on the charging mat and still get CarPlay. I just put some mounting tape on the dongle and tucked...
Iām cool with it. I personally like to know what people might not find to their liking. A lot of reviews online, IMHO, are a bit too gushy and I would like to have a full picture.
Another thing that I thought of that I donāt care for right now is the leather wrap on the steering wheel is not the nicest leather. I hope it breaks in a bit. My VW was much nicer.
They are nice, I like them more than default ones. They fill up the wheel well a bit better. The only thing that I might not like is if I have to replace the tires, 18" is more $ than 17" but maybe that's not the case any more.
I'll get some pics up later of them close up.
Right now, the angle of things like the gauges and the radio are different than my VW. In the Mav I am looking down on the gauge cluster and I am not used to that, yet. Also the radio is straight back and not angled at the driver. I am sure it's just getting used to things.
The other thing I'm...
Yes. There was a +2K over MSRP on it. But because the dealer was in my state, my trade was subtracted from the purchase price and I saved ~1400 in sales tax.
If I had had a build date, I most likely would have waited for my build. But not having any idea of a date and clearly the build I wanted...
So I went to the Ford site and clicked on "Search Inventory" and low and behold, I found the exact truck I had ordered in June 23rd about an hour away. I called them up and it was in stock so I just went down today and picked it up. I still don't have a build date for the one I ordered so who...
