For what its worth.....As I wrote---I have 2 other Fords with the 2.0. And to me, they have worked the bugs out of these engines. So-the "accuracy" of my statement was preference. Original poster was concerned about getting a Maverick based on the issues he has read about and "buyers remorse." I...
Cant seem to see where I said anything against the Atkinson engine or how long Ford has had it. Only mentioned my reason why I ordered the 2.0. It is my preference of an engine.
Excellent explanation---That is the exact fix, and sorry to see a Ford Tech didnt know any better. One should get on their phone for install tips while working in the service bay. Anyway, Hope you get it mounted correctly.
My 2 cents worth. I ordered the ecoboost 2.0 for one reason, Ford has seem to have worked the bugs out of this engine. Plus I can work on it. I have this engine in 3 of my 4 Fords (wife has a 3.5 V6 in her flex, and 2 daughters drive the others) in the household and only have done regular...
I dont believe either one is stretching the truth. The particular small dealer I use had 70 2022 special and stock orders for various models, on the books last Jan 10th. Last I heard, 42 built and delivered and some being built now. About a dozen off the train car and sitting for a transporter...
I have for the last 20 years bought directly from the owner of a small town Ford Dealership, 2 hours from me, in south central Iowa that has a population of 2500. We became close friends when I bought a used 70 Mustang dash for my Boss 302, as he also has a passion for old cars. I talked to...
There are a few restaurants popping up , from east to west. Florida, Michigan, Indiana and a few other states. But how the hell did they get away with that Ford's logo, it is an almost an exact script match to Ford, with an 's on the end. Must have either got permission or are paying a fee......
I would concur that the auto and housing markets are starting to fall back in line with something more realistic, well, at least as realistic as the current day is. I have seen autos sitting on lots now, and houses not being bought unseen and over the listing price. The entire economic structure...
Get a hold of a can of FlexSeal. If Phil Swift can do an entire boat and drive it on the water, maybe that is an option....... In all seriousness, sorry to see something like this happen. As the post from the former dealer body shop guy, and myself having worked at a Ford dealer, there is a...
Excellent explanation-totally agree with you. Though I don't get why there are pics of these closers out there showing them with the rod up on other makes and models.
Yes- it's just not Ford. Our company work truck from Dodge took 10 months. Just a plain jane truck. My work Transit van took 9 1/2 months. (And those were both ordered Jan of 2021) My neighbor just got his Silverado after 11 months. We have 6 rooftop units ordered at work for projects. They...
Well, here is your proof. I do not have a big diameter golf bag, so keep that in mind. About 2-3 inches of clearance near the tailgate when shut. It is also nice to have a low in height from the ground tailgate when changing shoes !
Just my 2 cents worth, not trying to start a argument post. Everyone takes care of their vehicle differently. My past experience working at a Ford dealership and MY choice for changing oil has always been the factory break in oil is good to 2500-3000 miles depending on driving conditions. There...
I received the tray today, just slips in the console as pictured. Will work great for light items. It is light weight and doesnt fit level but close enough for me for my usage. (This is not the tray from the Amazon link. I got this from a seller on ebay- as I mentioned in previous replies.)
