There wasnt anything skipped in regards for sealing off the elements. I didnt imply that; and didnt buy these for that reason. These are just insulators. In my mind they are meant to deflect noise, nothing more then that. Not meant to be a weather seal. And I think they have reduced/deflected...
Agree. My older Rangers and other vehicles didn't have insulators that I remember. (May be some splash shields on my vintage Mustangs, if that counts. Those were intended to keep water within the wheel well though.) But the cowl/top of fender area on these Mavericks seem to have a cavity in that...
Just a follow up to my post. I have had these insulators installed for over 4000 miles now, and they have not sunk or slipped at all. (I had made mention in my first post that they may slip over time) I feel it helped somewhat with the engine noise as well. So they were worth the purchase.
The many bugs have been worked out of the ecoboost engine performance over the last few years. (as with many engines and manufacturers) And-You can find any opinion or viewpoint you want on the web, the bottom line is preference, and my kids have a '20 Edge and a '22 Escape with the 2.0 and both...
Carvana and another one I dont remember which. I also was turned down by Shift as they dont buy cars in my area. I have cleared my cache each time. Carvana had over 100 for sale last I looked. My Mav stickers at $32900. Seen equal ones selling (not sold) for $8000 more. Not sure what to think...

Best idiotic line of his FaceBook post "We didn't intend to cause a problem..." ----Really? According to his Facebook post "We will contact every customer and lower the price to MSRP". And you didnt intend to cause a problem? Geez.
Great post. Yea- I am showing my age (60 ) and yes keeping spare parts at the bench kept my steps to the parts counter down but the service clerk pissed. And I kept 1 electric rear antennas for the crown vics and lincoln town cars too as that was a weekly thing. Then the dreaded 302 lower knock...
You read it as you did, no big deal. I do believe the 2.0 has been around in its own form, non EB and EB, as it was originally developed from I think the Volvo 2.0. for about the same amount of time. And you are correct saying the 2.5 has been a hybrid engine in use since I believe 2009-2010...
