Almost went with EB because of 4k tow and 4wd, then realized that I never tow and never have any problem with FWD cars even in deep snow. Finally changed order to hybrid, and no regrets.
Maverick was my first hybrid vehicle and I'm confident that I'll never go back to pure ICE vehicles ever again. The instant acceleration makes you feel very much connected to the truck. Also red light, stop signs etc are becoming almost therapeutic. Not to mention the smile at the gas pump, I...
I've had deep sleep messages twice. Both times are right after driving it and they both happened within 2 days of getting the truck. I've never had it ever again and I also measured voltage when the truck is idle and it's showing 12.8V which is fully charged.
I'll say don't worry about it too...
Most pressure sensor relies on detecting pressure difference between whatever inside the tank and the atmosphere. It's entirely possible that the Krown coating plugged the orifice that let atmosphere pressure going to the sensor. Any kind of coating / paint could damage pressure sensors. The...
Probably undefiled cooling system or not bled properly. Good thing there's protection in place for this. In the old days you'll just be driving and getting your warped head replaced later.
Take the truck from the dealer and say no thank you to all their offers. I won't even be going back for the supposedly free oil change as I can do it myself in 1h vs getting appointment and waiting for hours. I don't want to have anything to do with dealer except for warranty.
When I was doing my rustproofing I noticed the big hole that only exists on the driver side. There's a fairly flat shelf like metal piece in there that looks like a rust point. Reaching from the hole that the storage cubby goes in, I sprayed everything in there and hopefully won't have rust...
This was the second mod that I did. With a custom wire harness it's a 5min job, no tapping into factory wires. I also added an usb power cord on the harness for dash cam. So much cleaner than wiring cable under trims.
Idiotic article. The dude was talking about high market adjustment on F150, while fails to mention that on the very video that he linked there's a maverick with market adjustment of 7.5k.
Charging a shop big bucks for manual sorts of makes sense, since that's part of their business expenses and the shop will hopefully make the money back.
But for DIY guys I don't see why the manual shouldn't be free. I'm not going to Ford dealers for service outside warranty whether with or...
I went with roll up. Cheaper and no lose of visibility. I would never drive without rear view mirror. You lose situational awareness which is especially needed when hauling large items.
Added 2 cubbies to my XL, it was super easy install. I also added 12V and USB outlets inside the cubby which should be more weatherproof than installing them on the bed.
Behind the driver side cubby you can see some metal supports and the rear wheel arch. I can see those could be rust spots in...
Agreed. The hybrid is surprisingly fast. Doesn't take much pedal to squeal the front tires. Acceleration is super linear too which makes the truck feels slower than it is. I was going way over the speed limit coming off a stop sign the other day without realizing it.
