23-26 is what I averaged the first few times I hauled my trailer. The engine running nonstop is what does it.
Last time j went for bedroom furniture and then a kitchen table. Run normal with an empty trailer. The few hundred pounds isn't enough to need tow haul. And a light foot definitely...
Ford greatly underestimated the demand for the maverick especially the hybrid. And then how many would add on the lux, 360, etc optional packages. The budget xl for them interested like me but then upgraded to pricier versions.
They still want the F150 to be the money maker. But the maverick...
It's also narrower. By a lot. But that space is from the console and doors. Not the seats.
I'm a big guy at 6' 375. And I think it's roomy. My head is nowhere near the ceiling, I'm not too wide for the seats. The wheel doesn't interfere with getting in or out. And it doesn't hurt my back...
I've now seen at least 4 different mavericks besides my own. Possibly 5.
A carbonized gray, a cyber orange, a white work truck and another white one. And this morning saw another white work truck that was either the same one as before or a different one for the same company.
Definitely out...
My morning commute is almost always exactly the same with no stops. So I compare it regularly. First time I've hit 60mpg on the run. Usually am in mid 50s.
Almost all city streets total with some waiting which adds time even though I'm not driving.
Anyone else working on a personal record...
These are the same people saying how trash a vehicle is compared to a loaded F150 not accounting for the fact that some people simple have the maximum amount they can afford comfortably and then fuel and maintain. Wait until you need a set of tires. Or the constant fill-ups at 25mpg.
I have...
Just finished a round trip of about 530 miles. Got 39mpg running a lot of 70-75mph. And sat in a parking lot Monday running the ac for a few hours cycling the engine when it needed for power.
Love this truck.
Went down a big big 7% grade this weekend and after driving freeway for quite a while was definitely fully charged and it used the engine to brake. Very loud and obvious engine braking.
The regenerative breaking is max under Low, and the other difference is Tow/Haul the engine runs virtually nonstop when driving unless you're coasting and charging.
Bad back here.
Not bad. Just did a 530mi round trip for memorial day weekend. About 2 hours at a time each way before stopping for food or break (not fuel).
Holds up well. Does get a little sore after the 4 hour mark. I've learned that you need to recline the seat a bit more than you usually...
In Ohio I went 3 years without a front plate on my car until Ohio changed the law. Why? Cause it was a PA car and they don't have a front plate and there was no bracket.
Today, many manufacturers are against front plates because of the crash avoidance and cruise control/auto pilot systems now...
Glad there's been some reputable dealers. My last three vehicles I bought a dealer were a hyundai, cadillac and Ford. And the Ford was the only one that was easy and didn't feel like they were constantly trying to screw me over during the process.
That really is the great feeling about the mpg. I got gas this morning and am at 3400 miles. Bought gas 6 times now. My old car I got gas every 200-300 miles. And was only getting 23-25mpg. Now I'm disappointed I didn't get 600 miles on 14 gallons.
