So so close. But the last 50 miles was with a trailer. So the mpg dropped just enough to keep me short of 600. The mte is based off the last 100 or so.
With the new tank went 53 miles at 37mpg while pulling about 1000 pounds. Should get it back into the 45 range in no time.
Didn't do mountain driving but have some good hills. In tow/Haul today I went 53 miles hauling my trailer and a big heavy table and chairs (complete brain fart on not getting a photo). Got 36mpg. I stuck mostly to two lanes since I didn't have the chairs strapped down great, just the table.
It...
I bought one on Amazon but can't find it in my previous orders now. Just a cheap $20-$30 one that was 4x6. It stretches and you can put the carabiner clips wherever you want. I like it for when I've got something really tall in the bed. I only use about 4x4 of it and a couple feet hang down in...
This is essentially how I did it. I went online but didn't commit to it. Called the dealership and they told me to come in as they couldn't take the order over the phone.
Did so. He went through the online system just as I had done and picked my build. Went in the back with my license, etc...
I ordered early September 21 and the dealer told me I should have my truck around Thanksgiving. Which was the hope I'd have it by a mid December trip.
Got the build info for the week before Thanksgiving, then bumped two weeks later and then another week. Was built the week of my trip. Got...
My 03 Buick Regal was on its last legs. Lots of issues the last two years and was squeaking by thanks to me being cheap. Head gasket went over a year before I ordered my maverick. It had major rust issues and transmission slipping. So I intended to just drive it until it died. Managed to stay...
My morning commute couldn't get any better. I keep finding ways to maximize the time the engine runs and best at keeping it in electric when I can.
These are back to back. So no funny business.
I had two short drives in the 20 to 40 range. And then this on the way home:
For everyone talking about the small bed being an issue. Regardless of the truck. It was a concern of mine, but I wanted a bed to haul dirty, oily, greasy crap and wasn't going to do that in the trunk of a new car (my old car had some rubber mats and tarps). Weight wasn't the issue.
But with...
Hooked to my trailer to install a new license plate light on the trailer. The old one was disconnected by the previous owner and it was bugging me that I didn't have one on it.
Because nothing competes with $20k for what you get. Ford was smart to not play up the loaded maverick because most would have probably moved on to the Ranger or the stalwart F150. Instead, they have the cheapest HYBRID truck on the market and no one can touch it. Even though most will buy...
The maverick is a mini F150. That's part of the look. It does make it a little bland but I didn't want something that makes people look
Though in retrospect, I've gotten a ton of people asking me about the maverick since they hadn't seen one yet.
Edit
Look at the comparison
One looks like...
To follow the previous poster, in other cars, sport mode is usually a much tighter steering, while eco is a "boat on an ocean" feel. Very relaxed and forgiving. This gives less rolling resistance to the tires.
As for the transmission in the maverick, is mostly electrical control. Sport mode...
Same trip this morning so you can see it's not a fluke. No AC yesterday since the temp was nice but ran ac for the latter half of this morning since it rained. And got slightly better mileage.
I love this truck.
