As long as the dealer ordered it correctly, I don't see Ford cancelling it. Getting pushed to an early MY23 may not be the worst thing depending on your current vehicle situation. If Ford ends up raising prices again you would be locked in at MY22 pricing and maybe even get a few model year...
I love how Ford's response is to simply schedule your truck to be built and not address the bigger issue, which is their own communications stating that reservation date/order date actually matters.
How about we cut out the (mostly) useless middleman and order from Ford direct, who builds them in the order that they were received. Dealers are a relic of the past.
That sucks, but at least you got a build date. Think of this way... everyone behind you with a hybrid order (like me) also got delayed a month, they just don't know it yet. I guess I should set my sights on getting my truck in June, but at this rate who knows.
Not that I've seen. Everyone on the forum knows Ford's allocation system is garbage and the dealer can't do much except tell you what items are constrained. I'm surprised they don't just post their allocation numbers weekly for full transparency and tell people to direct their anger at the...
The entire vehicle sales model is broken. I'm going through the same thing with my Lightning order and ended up having to change dealers to one out of state. The only thing that should matter is time of order and Ford's ability to build it.
Very nice! I wish I would have upgraded my XLT Lux to Lariat Lux before the price increase, but oh well. The Lariat interior has really grown on me and looks fantastic with the Alto Blue.
I've lost all faith in ever getting scheduled :(
The fact that there are still unscheduled JUNE 2021 orders at this point shows how broken Ford's allocation system is.
Very cool. On a similar note, I've seen a couple Jeeps that were sprayed with bedliner that came out really cool and much more durable long-term than a vinyl wrap.
Absolutely no updates from Ford, but to be fair I ordered a month after you. I'm not sure why Ford is struggling with the SIBL when I can drive to my local dealer and have it Line-X'd the same day.
Have you received a build sheet from your dealer showing that you have a Retail order and not a...
I ordered in July and was told 6 months. It will likely end up being ~8 months, but keep in mind they weren't building a lot of hybrids until recently. I'd realistically plan on the summer, but there are a lot of factors like your dealer's allocation and any constraints on your build (ie hybrid...
This was exactly my rationale too. On their own power seats are meh, but combined with a memory function they are awesome. My wife's SUV recognizes the driver by their phone/key and automatically adjusts the seats, steering wheel and mirrors once you open the door. All you have to adjust is the...
