  1. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

Why they didn't make all the trim levels the same regarding fuel door stumps me???
  2. Just a thought on the auto-hold brake feature

In the 1950's hill holder feature was incorporated in some manual transmission vehicles. After stopping on uphill incline, driver can remove right foot from brake and position foot at accelerator. Brake holds until clutch is engaged, mitigating rollback. It operated much like Auto Hold in...
  3. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

No, the 25MY hybrid has a button above the headlight knob. You have to press that button to release the fuel door lock. Previous Fords I've owned in recent years you pressed and released the fuel door from outside to open, as you describe. I assume it's a 2025MY change?? Year-to-year changes...
  4. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

I just did the "Press and Hold" option change, works absolutely Perfect. Thank You again Ryan. Of all the Forscan options, this was 2nd of importance. Number one for me was increasing the 12V receptacle timeout. Default was 4500 seconds (1hr 15min). I changed to 14,400 seconds, four (4) hours. I...
  5. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

Yes indeed Ryan, thanks again. I'll make that change soon. I'm confident it will work as you described, exactly as I prefer. FYI, I fueled for the 2nd time today. Had to look closely to find the fuel door release button. Lol.
  6. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

Thank you "ryan2366". I just did that - windows down, locked by touching door handle, as well as lock button on inside door pillar. Windows stay put. I just assumed, incorrectly, Global Windows Close, would work like it does on my 2016 F-150 & 2017 Lincoln, both enabled via Forscan. Information...
  7. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

I just returned home from travel and did the DDM & PDM 740-02-08 & 741-02-08 changed. Bingo~ Global Up now works on my 25MY Maverick Hybrid. HOWEVER, the windows all close with just one touch of the key fob "Lock" button. I expected you had to click Lock, then press it 3 seconds to roll up...
  8. Just a thought on the auto-hold brake feature

Younger drivers might not realize this "auto hold" feature is at least 65+ years old. I remember it being on circa 1958 Studerbaker Larks & Golden/Silver Hawk models with manual transmissions. It was appropriately called "Hill Hold". Probably other Autos had it? Depressing clutch, then brake...
  9. Car locked me out with keys inside

It's on my To Do list. Meanwhile keyfob stays in my pocket. And, the Fordpass App works flawlessly to lock & unlock, but phone must be in your pocket.
  10. New 24 Mav Lariat - MPG Mods

Totally agree. AWD/4WD provudes improved traction while accelerating. Stopping is exactly as you said. Physics/weight dictate 100% of the time. AWD added weight slightly hurts stopping distance vs 2WD.
  11. Car locked me out with keys inside

The keyless entry keypad is EXCLUDED on 2025MY. It's a dealer installed option now. My salesman said "they expect you to use Ford Pass app" instead. Poo! I loved the touchpad on previous Fords.
  12. New 24 Mav Lariat - MPG Mods

I've noticed a MPG hit using A/c vs. no A/c with windows down. Being retired & not repeating commute routes daily, I can't quote MPG difference, but indeed A/c use on the 2025 Mav AWD hybrid is real. Side note: I love the 25 MY but would have preferred FWD since I never experience winter...
  13. I can turn radio on without key fob

Yes, there's a default time limit, but don't recall what it is in the Mav. My 2016 F-150 was set at 20 minutes, but I changed it to one hour with Forscan. Haven't bothered to see if radio timeout is changeable on Maverick with Forscan.
  14. I can turn radio on without key fob

Yes. It's been a Ford feature for years. I could do it on my 2016 F-150, so nothing new on Maverick. It requires no Forscan intervention. However, Forscan programming changes to configure our Mavericks and other Ford vehicles for many other features is fantastic.
  15. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

Well put about the helping community, and getting the Global Windows operational on the 25' Mav is an A+ achievement thanks to @EONR24. Splendid job, hats off!
  16. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

Kudos to you Sir. I'm traveling & won't be home to make the DDM & PDM changes for several days. Can't wait to try it. Global window 'Up' is a big deal to me. Thank you again!
  17. 2025 Maverick Forscan Codes _ Working

I am unable to get Global Windows Up to work with Forscan (25' Lariet hybrid). Down works fine. Would love to have 'Up' working, when quick summer rains popup out of nowhere.
  18. ? RVI break system requires 12 volt power to operate the 12 volt the PLUG is turned off after 15 to 30 minuets after being put into neutral tow hall.?

A towed battery charger not needed if RV 7-pin connector includes a 12v hot wire, which connects to toad 6-pin connector, which connects to the 12v battery post under the Maverick hood. So, the RV provides 12V charge line to the Maverick battery. Also, Forscan can extend the 12V power timeout...
  19. Hypermiling Challenge for 2.5L Hybrid

Indeed, foot control & thinking ahead is paramount to great FE. Cruise control is handy on trips, but superb FE can only be achieved w/o cruise.
  20. Hypermiling Challenge for 2.5L Hybrid

Absolutely true, the tank fill method is TRUE. Accuracy is enhanced if you can fill at same station, same pump, each time. Consistent pump shutoff setting and ground level. Really cold & hot weather much less desirable for hpermiling.
