So you don’t want people to discuss anything negative? People should know what they are getting into. I personally appreciate the negative and positive posts.
Ford refuses to give me a loaners because it “drivable” on the cv axle and the part is backordered. I’m probably destroying other parts of the vehicle.
like many others I am dealing with bad cv axles. Took my truck in when I noticed the shaking upon acceleration and it was confirmed a passenger side cv axle. I asked if they could replace both and was told no. Waited 3 weeks for the new and improved cv axle while still continuing to drive on...
Atleast some of you got loaners, I’ve been driving on a bad cv axle for 2,000 miles while I wait for the new one to arrive. Dealer said it’s safe and won’t give a loaner. If it fails and I total it, that’s on them.
My last vehicle was a 2014 Toyota Corolla. The car has been passed down and still driven daily. Currently 195,000 miles. It’s never had a part fail. This is also my first ford and compared to my Toyota it’s been a nightmare.
I bought the 100k mile warranty and will not be keeping it 1 mile longer. I’m currently at 60k. I’ve had the engine and transmission already removed around 25k to replace the engine dampener and now I’m bouncing around on a bad cv axle because the new ones are backordered. I do not recommend...
Why can’t ford get these to customers who need them more timely? I’ve been driving around for weeks in a bad cv axle while ford drags its feet. Words cannot describe my level of hate for this vehicle.
That stinks. Dealers shop foreman drove the truck and said it’s still safe to drive. Doesn’t feel safe but if anything happens now it’s on them. I’m only 1 week in, if I have to go 3 more weeks I’ll be surprised if the tires don’t shoot off while driving.
lol it might be their cheapest vehicle but for something you pay 23k for you would think they could make a cv axle that lasts. My 16k Corolla I bought in 2014 has 195,000 miles and still on the original cv axles. In fact nothing has ever failed on that vehicle. LOL. Classic
Still waiting for my “updated” cv axle to arrive. They confirmed it’s a new part but unfortunately they are only replacing the one that failed. It won’t be long before I have to do this all over again for the other side, and I’ll be over 60k by then. They are hoping to have it before December...
