  1. Already has cosmetic damage 😡🤬😡🤬 took delivery of my 2025 today!

Well you could look at it as now its broken in! Yes it sucks, I was annoyed at the first door ding on mine after my daughter had taken it for shopping...but such is life. Maybe dealer has a guy that can fix/repair at their cost for you. Good Luck!
  2. Understanding Why To Buy a '25 EcoBoost Maverick.

Oh yeah, forgot about TQ management...need those smooth slow shifts.
  3. Understanding Why To Buy a '25 EcoBoost Maverick.

Interesting...so no hope for a linelock in the Lobo I assume. :( Yes, I know the newer turbo's have far less lag than those from the 90's but its still there.
  4. Understanding Why To Buy a '25 EcoBoost Maverick.

What? You do know that the turbo is spooled by exhaust right? So unless you are going to brake torque at a stop, you're not going get positive boost off idle and thus turbo lag. What Ford would need to add is a launch control feature with anti-lag.
  5. It was fun while it lasted

I will say and agree that anyone that likes to modify their engines for more power, there is ONLY one choice and that is the Eco 2.0L. As someone who has owned and modified Turbo 4's the new Ranger with the 2.7LTT V6 would be fun to mess with.
  6. It was fun while it lasted

I would love to. Ready? Let's start with the engines. The 2.5L is less complex and requires far less maintenance than the Eco 2.0L. No turbo and the required turbo accessories including the intercooler and piping, boost control, blow-off valve and added hoses to cool the turbo. As you know...
  7. It was fun while it lasted

 You are too funny. Nope, no nerve, not a Ford Fanboy. All my other vehicles are Mopars. I standby my statement you don't know anything about the Maverick Hybrid. Its not more complex, actually I can argue less so than your Eco2.0L. Also the powertrain is silky smooth, its something you...
  8. It was fun while it lasted

I have had Zero issues to date with my 2024, though only 15K miles. I have read some here have reported issues with the 12v battery. I also see Eco 2.0L owners reporting transmission failures. Which is less $$ to replace? Checkmate.
  9. It was fun while it lasted

Well just as I noted. You don't know anything about the Mav. Hybrid. But if you owned one you would, plus I will argue its the PERFECT fit for the Lariat Trim as being the Lux trim, silence is Luxury. If you're about performance, Ford makes a really good sports car. Mustang.
  10. It was fun while it lasted

There is more to the Hybrid than just the FE. But you won't know until you own it. I can't see any upside to the Eco 2.0L over the Hybrid other than a little more HP.
  11. Out with the old and in with the new! 2022 Cyber Orange > 2025 Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat

Just saw one in the wild and its a FANTASTIC color! Best red Ford has had IMO in a LONG time. Congrats and great color pick.
  12. It was fun while it lasted

Except you only got $20K...and you paid $45K...so about double. I also have to wonder for $45K if you could not have moved up to a full size pickup? I see 2025 Ram 4wd 1500's for low $40's. Happy for you...but not a good deal IMO.
  13. It was fun while it lasted

Great looking Nissan Truck...but is it worth double the $$ of your Maverick???
  14. 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid Fuel Efficiency (Real World MPG) Test by TFL

Great point! I should've thought of the bean counters and having been in a Tesla, where there are no physical buttons, clearly its less expensive to eliminate them and move to the infotainment center.
  15. 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid Fuel Efficiency (Real World MPG) Test by TFL

I'm 100% OK with higher priced trims...but throw us 1st gen owners a bone. Heck, you wouldn't have an updated model nor be able to charge more without the success of the 2022-2023 years. 100% it was the low cost that attracted buyers, which is why the '22-'23 yrs sold out within a week and the...
  16. 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid Fuel Efficiency (Real World MPG) Test by TFL

So true. The attraction was a low cost pickup that one can modify...see the QR code in the bed, and Ford encouraging 3-D printing accessories. Then someone apparently decides we can charge more, so we'll put more tech into it change the front end to justify the cost increase. When part of the...
  17. 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid Fuel Efficiency (Real World MPG) Test by TFL

So true. You can really get crazy FE if you drive with eggshells under the pedal....but you'll annoy a lot of other drivers. I do like Eco mode for the added regen over normal and its easier to keep in electric mode, but run normal mode mostly. Sport mode is great in traffic to get in and out of...
  18. 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid Fuel Efficiency (Real World MPG) Test by TFL

Watching this just shows me how much Ford could've done a better job on this refresh. Instead of all the digital screens and control layout changes which require wiring harness changes, they could have just updated the Infotainment screen and provided a second base interior color to the blue...

The Youtubers have to get views to pay for the vehicles, which is why they just want to be first out with content and will take what ever is first available. What they don't mention is altitude they are at, temps and at what speed they are traveling at...looks like I saw 55? No reason to top...
  20. Is it large enough for you?

Nope. Had my whole family in it over the Holiday's out for dinner. Son 6'4", Me 6'2", daughter 5'11" and Mom 5'9". Perfect size for the task.
