If my 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid order looks dicey come early spring, I'm going to get put on the list with the most reputable Toyota dealership in the market for a Corolla FWD hybrid.
I'll keep my Maverick order, but if they cannot build it for the 2023 model year, I just won't roll/resubmit...
Got my order in before noon on the 16th - my appt the previous evening was moved due to their order bank not working, at least for dealers in the Eastern time zone during business hours.
I believe I was the 7th Maverick order my dealer had. They told me all new 2023 orders were coded 19 by...
My dealer coded all new 2023 orders as 19. I didn't ask about roll-overs.
My paranoia comes from the fact I'm an A-plan so I assume my dealer stuck my order at the bottom of the pile.
Reminds me of my wife's minivan. We bought one new off the dealer's lot, and it ran and performed well for about 30 months. My wife ran a stop sign and totaled it.
To replace it, we bought a used one of the same model year and similar mileage. It has never been right - weird electrical...
Maverick is not the most aerodynamic, so the speed is your reason for lower mpg.
On my commute to work, I drive 72 mph to the office, and the 65 mph speed limit coming home. Even that difference increases my fuel economy by close to 10%.
I know this is not the same vehicle, but someone ran...
I'm in Ohio - I'd rather pay a flat fee than have the government monitor how many miles you drive.
I'm sure if your car is a "smart" car, they can already track your location and distance traveled 24 hours a day.
Fueleconomy.gov - if you drive 12,000 miles a year, you save $500 in gas in...
I'm there with you. I do not buy cars very often, so I am thorough when I do. I carefully planned and scheduled my appointments with the dealer so it was within the first few hours the Ford order bank was actually working. (I had to reschedule from late afternoon to the following morning on...
I ordered my Maverick as a soon as possible on the first day their system would actually take orders, from the 2nd largest dealer in the metro area that has been family owned for more than 50 years.
If being early, so to speak, and they still cannot build you a vehicle, why would you take...
I don't think $28,500 is cheap for a new vehicle. The Maverick is a great vehicle but it is pushing the limit on being a value proposition. I'm not unhappy with the details based upon the price, but saying if the price increases, my expectations also increase.
What I didn't say is I'm...
Hybrid or no truck for me.
As far as raising the price on the hybrid, the Maverick doesn't exactly have the greatest interior or exterior details that are high quality, so raising the price will only put other vehicles into play.
Example - hybrid Escape has a much nicer interior, and more back...
I'll be in your boat next summer. If my 2023 is not built, I'm not reordering, and I'll buy something else.
I literally ordered within the first 4 hours of the system actually working for Midwest dealers during business hours.
I'm interested in the Corolla as well - I'm seriously considering also ordering a hybrid Corolla. My wife owned a 2000 Corolla from new until 2018, and it was a great car. I was always impressed by the attention to detail they did in the engineering of making it easy to service, and the...
California, due to geography and other issues, is mostly separated from the rest of the country's gasoline infrastructure. (pipelines, refineries, logistics systems for fuel, etc.)
With all the sun, a perfect test case for "green" energy and EV's.. How has that been going out there?
I wanted to order that, but both my salesman and the known list of constrained items has the option as one not to order. I can always have it added if I actually get my Maverick.
The build info for the 2023 XLT luxury package specifically states it is the 4 pin receiver trailer hitch.
I removed all the options I can get added at the dealer (other than the floor trays), but by my reading the 2023 XLT luxury package hitch is a 4 pin.
I have to admit I ordered just about as soon as possible (once the Ford order bank finally started working early on September 16).
I did so from the #2 dealer in a large metro area that has been in business and run by the same family for over 50 years, and my extended family has ordered...
I'm using A-plan, and saving a little over $1,400 off MSRP on an XLT with luxury package.
Still the best deal out there, assuming your dealer will use an allocation on an A-plan purchase.
Same as mine, only I added the XLT luxury package. It might delay my build, but I'm operating on the assumption I don't get my truck until September 2023. I ordered before Noon on Friday, Sept. 16.
