  1. My Troubles with my wonderful Maverick.....

I am buying using A-plan, so I made sure to order from the dealer that would handle any warranty work, which is the same one my brother uses (since we have the same somewhat unique last name). It is not supposed to matter, but Ford is not the only brand where dealers treat customers...
  2. How rough is your current vehicle?

2002 Grand Marquis with only 168,000 miles. Engine and transmission are good, but all wheel fender body panels are rusting. It's body on frame so could just plug and play new fenders. I've driven it for 18 years. 2000 Honda Accord with 86,000 miles. Engine has bad ticking noises that two...
  3. Anyone think there may be an extended cab, larger bed option in the future?

100% no. EPA fuel economy rules are based upon wheelbase and track, so anything that changes that is in effect a completely different vehicle for government regulations. The Feds want you out of private transportation vehicles, but barring that, want to force you into electric vehicles. What...
  4. Who needs a hybrid anyways?!

I ordered a Maverick (will be built week of Sept 18 - fingers crossed) because it is a hybrid. I was hoping to replace one of my old beaters and our 12 year old minivan with one much more fuel efficient vehicle vehicle, hence the cargo bed. However, sInce then, my wife has decided she...
  5. Reports from a salesperson (low order numbers for 2024 Maverick)

Yeah, I don't get it. I can sort of understand if you took something off the dealer lot, but if you ordered exactly what you wanted. The car that my Maverick is replacing I've been driving for 18 years.
  6. 📬 7/20/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

Thought they were constricted on XLT wheels. I was scheduled last week - think I have the highest VIN disclosed so far for a 2023, so hopefully everyone this week has a higher number than I.
  7. Will scheduled orders for 2023 Maverick 100% for sure be built?

I put in a back up order after my salesman conferred with his boss. We decided since Ford will be cancelling any unneeded 2024 orders, we'll let Ford make the decision it is unneeded. I'd rather get my 2023 anyways due to equipment, color, etc. on an XLT Luxury hybrid.
  8. 📬 7/13/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

My salesman and I are going to put in a 2024 order, but then will speak with his boss and get confirmation from Ford on how the dealership will treat 2024 rollovers that have a 2023 build confirm. They have to think about how to handle 2023 Mavericks that have a VIN, vs. the risk that it is...
  9. Highest 23 VIN Tracker

921XX Scheduled to be built week of Sept 18, 2023.
  10. 📬 7/13/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING]

I think I have the highest VIN number scheduled so far on this thread: Also wanted to mention using A-plan, so my conspiracy mindset made me think it would not be built. ⏰ Time email was received - 7:22 pm Eastern 📅 Week of Sept 18, 2023 🔢 VIN 921XX 🛻 XLT Hybrid, Area 51, Luxury...
  11. 📬 6/15/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

Yeah - I originally left it off the order, but when the item went off restricted in December, I waited a month to make sure it was not a short-term issue, and added it along with the cleat discount package.
  12. 📬 6/15/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

I have an order in with Krieger Ford as well for an XLT hybrid, ordered on September 16. I don't have the 360 package but did add the spray-in liner/bed tie-down package in January. Mine is also on the Ford A-plan due to a relative working for Ford, which could be why mine may not be built.
  13. 🗓️ Maverick Scheduling Retails & Fleet Only This Week (5/25/23)

Especially with the ridiculous dealer mark-ups. Ridgeline is a nicer vehicle.
  14. Ford reverses course and will keep AM radio 🎙️

Have to be honest - the only part of the sound system I use in my vehicle is AM radio. Rarely listen to FM, and I have no great interest in music anymore, at least enough interest to hassle with customizing it. So yeah, no AM radio would be a huge negative in deciding future vehicle purchases...
  15. Ford raising base Ranger prices 18%, wonder what base Mav 24 prices look like

A similarly priced Toyota Corolla LE price difference between gas and hybrid is $1,350, from $21,700 to $23,050 plus destination. The difference in mpg goes from 35 mpg combined to 50 mpg combined. So at $3.50 a gallon, will take 45,000 miles to break even excluding any other cost...
  16. Am Done With Ford

I too listen to AM radio - actually normally I listen to nothing driving, but when I do, it is AM radio. I'm not brand loyal - currently drive a Honda, Mercury, and a Volkswagen. Have to admit the Grand Marquis is by far my favorite of the three. I grew up in a Ford family, but American...
  17. 📬 3/30/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOT YET ARRIVING]

that's what mine did as well for all new 2023 orders. Not sure about rollovers, as I did not have one...
  18. So your Mav won’t get built….What’s your Plan B?

Short term - keep driving my assortment of old cars between my wife and I - 2011 Routan with 140,000 miles that my wife drives. I split time between a 2000 Accord and a 2002 Grand Marquis. My idea was the Maverick would replace both the Routan and the Accord, as the Accord has an engine that...
  19. Model Year 2023 Maverick will end October 14

I don't get how a company will take orders on a product that they know they cannot provide even if you order 13 months in advance, and then say you have to reorder that product 12 months later at a higher price if you still want it. However, no guarantee the exact same thing won't happen...
