Not sure why they keep adding trim levels when they cannot build the ones they already offer.
Manuel may not be offered, though I'm sure he helps build Mavericks.
I ordered via A-Plan, but my paranoia makes me think A-Plan is being blackballed to the end of the line due to Ford not making any profit on those deals. Plus with added hassle to the dealer of waiting for reimbursement from Ford once the vehicle is sold, do they need that hassle on a vehicle...
I get that, but I think every vehicle is overpriced. I'm of the thought that automobiles are now overpriced entertainment/video games on wheels for many buyers, with way too much electronic gadgets to placate the screen time generation.
The Maverick is literally the cheapest vehicle Ford...
Did a quick search from my vantage in Central Ohio.
Within 50 miles of my home:
Hyundai website shows 24 Santa Cruz available within 50 miles - lowest MSRP is $31,355.
Ford website shows ZERO anywhere available
Similar to my order - only Area 51 and I added the SIBL with cleats package a couple of weeks ago. Financially I planned to not receive my Maverick until this September.
To be honest, I'm an A-plan order, so little/no profit for Ford or my dealer. My paranoia makes me think all A-plan orders...
I am the same - no Maverick, I'm moving on most likely to Toyota or Honda. I'd rather not, obviously, but I'm not driving my old junker past fall 2023.
In my experience looking at most dealer websites, they will list the custom orders they have in inventory during the few days between delivery to the dealer, and delivery to the customer.
Technically, they do have legal ownership during that period, but just not available to buy.
I waited until yesterday - all I did was build my Maverick on the Ford.com website, and cut and pasted the below to my salesman. He forwarded the e-mail to his sales manage, and done with zero confusion.
They did say they will do their best to get it built. I told them my old beater car is...
I'm looking at the same angle.
Sometime around March, I'm going to visit my dealer in person and see how realistic it is that my 2023 Maverick hybrid XLT will be built. I doubt they will give me a realistic estimate but I will give them a chance.
At that point, I will order another...
I got the luxury package for the power and heated seats, heated outside mirrors, trailer hitch, nicer heated steering wheel, and the couple of power inverters and bed lighting. The rest of the package is not as interesting to me.
Nothing in it is a make or break item, but I plan on keeping...
$1,645 for that, and they don't even black out the lettering on the tailgate for you?
I'm sure some think spending $1,730 for the XLT luxury package is a waste, so my opinion is just that, an opinion.
Ford turbo engines do not have the best reputation. I'm not a fan of turbo engines as I keep my cars for a very long time, and turbos are being used solely due to the EPA fuel economy requirements when new.
Ford's 2.5 liter hybrid powertrain has a good reputation, but who knows if they are...
I don't see the need to rush anything based on the fact I'm a hybrid who is not changing powertrains.
I'll give all the different parts of the Ford empire a couple of weeks to all get on the same page, and then I'll contact my dealer. The sales rep I used has been with the dealer for 28...
If people think Ford dealers are kind of scummy with the hybrid Maverick, try finding a hybrid Corolla. I'd even consider a Prius - while it has a virtue signaling image and has been very ugly the last few years, the new 2023 model is not quite as hideous.
I'm old enough now that I don't...
I'm waiting until March or so, and going to visit my dealer. If I do not get a good feeling then regarding my Maverick order, I'm going to reserve a Corolla hybrid at that point. Then it will be race to see which vehicle arrives first.
I'd love to get the Maverick, but for the basics of...
Get used to it - we are no longer an economy based upon merit, but rather who you are, and who you represent. Results are not important, but rather how you make others employees feel, and if you help your employer meet ESG window dressing goals.
Add a heavy dose of "wokeness" to most large...
How often does the oil need to be changed on the hybrid engine?
I have done my own oil changes for decades, but I'm not hassling with removing a "skid plate" (or whatever they are calling it) every time, or butchering it so it becomes what it was supposed to be in the first place. I guess I...
