The L option is if you leave the car (open a door) and need it to be in Neutral (not Park). I've never had it change out of Neutral on its own if I'm in the car.

The short answer from what I've read: the size is 14x1.5 mm, and the torque is 150 ft-lb (very high, but common for Ford trucks). Here is an Amazon link I found for solid replacements. I have NOT yet tried them...

While waiting for my XLT AWD to move from the railyard to the dealer... I just saw 2 stickers from a local dealer (Loveland CO). A '24 Lariat AWD with tow pkg and mileage of (cty/hwy/comb) 22/29/25, which matches my sticker for an AWD with tow. They also had an XLT Tremor with 20/24/21. Why...

Does anyone know whether that paint scrub issue is still happening in 2024 models? Has Ford changed anything yet? I can't believe they want to pay for endless paint repairs.

My new Eco is somewhere between built and shipped. While waiting (and waiting), and looking at my window sticker, I noticed my 2024 with FX4, machined gray wheels (235 tires) and tow package shows mileage of 22/29/25 (cty, hwy, comb). An earlier sticker for a '23 FX4 (I had a chance to buy)...

Mine was in that mid-November production trap, too. But just today it emerged as "built" on 12/12!

You used to see a lot of semis with cardboard over their radiators in winter. Might work while you're waiting for the dealer.

I believe Weathertech makes a "bed rug" for under-bedliner use. Never knew why.

As far as mechanics are concerned, all the mechanical parts are basically the same, just a different camshaft and valve timing.

What do they do with an exhausted item like mud flaps, delay the build or delete the item and build/ship it anyway?
