55k 2023 hybrid orders and maybe 10% have even been scheduled at this point and most of those were 2022 carryover orders. Why do you think Ford started allowing drivetrain order changes? So you get your truck in 4 months and you think that’s the norm? Read the room.
Well it only took about 2 months for my hybrid rav4 to show up, compared with a not even scheduled maverick after 3.5 months. Granted the wait for a hybrid rav4 appears to be longer in canada from what i have heard.
Got a call from my toyota dealer today and they have a rav4 hybrid LE meeting my specs in route priced at MSRP. took about 2 months to show up for them to get one for me.
I am not even sure why it is a discussion because only the lucky few are even getting hybrids at this point. but generally speaking, if you think a 2.0 turbocharged engine with standard slushbox is going to last 2/3 as long as a hybrid with ecvt… well, good luck with that. But then again, good...
Ford said that back in March... but that has since changed back to the allocation method. Your salesman is very out of date. Mind you, Ford could change their mind about that at any point, but I heard nothing to suggest they are doing away with allocations.
Shipping has been extremely slow... not unusual for vehicles to sit weeks waiting for a train/truck to deliver. Check some of the threads on the late 2022MY deliveries... some of those guys had their vehicle sitting for weeks 50 miles away waiting on transport to dealer.
June-23 is what you meant for Ford to finish building EB orders i believe?
But they do essentially have hybrid orders for 2 years of builds. Which i just don't understand how they could sit back and not do anything on those (other than letting people switch to EB).
I would still opt for the hybrid if it was 1k more than a ecoboost. But to be clear i have next to no interest in a non hybrid vehicle.
Also they are the same price now, so not really a hypothetical question any longer.
