Spoke with my dealer and he was very annoyed of all the fleet orders taking up capacity for mavericks and escapes. He said that ford drops everything to build them.

Such an odd thing for them to say. Especially since it’s in their best interest to change the drivetrain to get the vehicle built. Frankly, i have no idea why ford even takes retail orders. I don’t see them gaining anything from it and clearly they can’t build what’s ordered anyway.

At some point they will have to deviate from the allocation plan, otherwise there will be ecoboosts and hybrids unbuilt.

Wasn’t there a term for it when they fill in allocations gaps?

Isn’t cleanup scheduling where they try to balance some capacity against dealers without allocations?

My dealer called me again about switching to ecoboost. I feel like they are getting desperate/panicking.

I just had a thought that my build may actually have been previewing this week and they called to gauge interest in possibly backing out before i found out. Wouldn't that be a hoot. It was 19 when i ordered but they didnt have any rollovers.

The 15% was only for retail orders, not commercial or fleet orders.

They likely have a fiscal month time frame that they go by. I have found it to be pretty common in industry.

Actually they have primes on the lot now. We were offered one at msrp. If you are looking for something specific options wise, that could take a long time.
