If you don't mind a road trip, I bought my XLT Hybrid from Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester, NY for invoice (about $600 below MSRP). The only additional charges were $175 dealer fee and $12.50 30-day temp tag to get me back to Florida. Total charges: $187.50. I then paid Florida sales tax and...
But do you understand where I'm coming from? I have no idea what sales tax and DMV fees are in Texas, nor do I want to know. These items need to be left out if we're to answer your initial question intelligently.
TOD (Total Out the Door, I assume) is $32,500, but the items you've listed come to $29,650...?
1) There's no legal way to avoid paying taxes and DMV fees, correct? And since those vary among all 50 states, they should be left out of any "is this a good deal?" request.
2) You need to tell us...
I'd love to have a manual in my Maverick but Ford won't do it because there simply isn't enough overall demand. It's the same reason our truck comes standard with A/C and power windows; it costs too much to offer 2 different ventilation systems and two different window winders to justify the few...
I had a 2015 C-MAX Energi (PHEV) and it cost very little to charge on a monthly basis, maybe 1/4 the cost of gasoline at the time. As for the AWD Hybrid Maverick, it's a matter of economics. I can't see Ford going to the trouble of offering it if they still can't meet demand for the current...
On my XLT, the tailgate power locks with the rest of the doors. Works perfect with the Ford 3-piece folding tonneau, as you can't open the tonneau unless the tailgate is down. Everything in my bed is secure until I hit unlock on the fob or enter the code on the keypad.
I was just about to post the same thing! Bought my 2023 Maverick from Steve Miller last June. Even though I now live in Florida, I wouldn't think of buying anywhere else but Van Bortel Ford!
No tire shop in my area would touch that, it's too close to the edge. Their rule is, it now has to be within the inner treads. B/S I know, but good luck arguing with them. And remember: a tire warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
Bill Currie Ford in Tampa has about 4 Mavericks on the lot. MSRP plus:
- $5,000 Market Adjustment
- $2,299 for 2 years maintenance, 1 year paint treatment/ door edge guards/ nitrogen for tires
- $1,199 dealer fee
- $ 298 electronic filing fee
I like their service department, but it will be...
Years ago (90s) I was getting customers complaining that we were selling there info right after they purchased a new vehicle from us. Wasn't us; we didn't even know how to do that back then. And who WAS selling the customer's info? New York State Department of Transportation.
Small world- not only am I in the Tampa Bay area, but I had the identical C-Max (in Ruby Red) until I totaled it in Largo. Damn, I miss that little vehicle!
I haven't reset my trip odometer for the last 4 fill-ups, and it's reading 48.1 mpg for that period. Here's my style of driving:
I accelerate quickly (but not aggressively) to the speed limit (usually 45 mph) then back right off the gas; forcing the vehicle into electric mode. I "feather" the...
If you're willing to forego your deposit, contact the dealer I bought from: Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester, NY. They do all business on a handshake, and you'll get your truck. Mine took about 14 months because I tried to order a 2022 after the cutoff date, but then was moved to spot number...
The one near my work place always hard a hard time keeping the "J" lit on their sign, causing it to read "Iffy Lube." At least they complied with our local Truth-In-Advertising laws...
I ordered my XLT Hybrid from Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester, NY. I paid invoice (about $800 below MSRP) + $175 dealer fee + $12.50 temporary tag that gave me 30 days to get the truck back to Florida. I then went to Florida DMV and paid sales tax and tags, no other fees. Invoice is what...
