  1. Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

Not a senior yet but getting there as fast as I can (62). I used to have lots of toys, then I married a 35 yo toy and couldn't afford to keep the others any longer.
  2. Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

Ordered it on 9/20/22 and picked it up on 7/21. I'm a bit more interested in the time machine that enabled him to pick his up over a year before he ordered. Could make a mint off that thing.

  4. Dealer charged 27,960 FordPass points for oil change and rotation

They do use bulk. But they can't charge me for something I do not receive. Guy said their system only allows charging in full units so he can't do just the 1/2 qt. Enough people demand the oil and I'm thinking they will change their system.
  5. 2023 Lariat Lux - No Ambient Light

Can we get that brightness level button installed in other vehicles? Drivers on 635 sure could use it.
  6. Dealer charged 27,960 FordPass points for oil change and rotation

The Eco engine holds 5.5 quarts. When they told me the price of the change covered 5 quarts but they charge me for 6 due to the 1/2 quart, I told them I need the 1/2 quart that was left. They wouldn't give me the oil(was going to use it for chain lube on chainsaw) so took the extra quart off the...
  7. Maverick hauling round hay bales

I put a , per Bill of Lading, 900 pound skid of batteries in mine. Hauled it 30-35 miles at highway speeds(pushing 70) and it drove like a champ. Wasn't a long enough trip to tell if there was appreciable drop in mpg but thinking there probably was. A skid isn't as tall at that bale so didn't...
  8. Why am I running LED Daytime Running Lights?

I say the same thing about my seatbelt. Never had a wreck while not wearing it so I figure I'm golden for the life of the vehicle.
  9. Fire extinguishers perfect fit for Maverick door's water bottle holder

Good thinking on having an extinguisher in the vehicle. Don't forget to periodically(at least once a year) "fluff" the powder to ensure maximum amount is expended if/when needed. To do this just turn the extinguisher upside down and bump it on the bottom with the heel of your hand. You should be...
  10. New Ford Blue Oval Logo Ditches Chrome

Sure glad he didn't, that's fugly.
  11. New Ford Blue Oval Logo Ditches Chrome

Almost being the key word. I like the one on the right. The bolder blue looks sharp.
  12. Dealer says I can use any brand full synthetic oil for my Maverick

I use Firestone for my service and have them take a picture of the plate, with all screws in place, to ensure they are indeed put back in. The first couple of times I bothered to check myself before leaving the parking lot(didn't want them saying any vibrated loose on the way home).
  13. Railway strike

If the railroad ain't working for you, McDonalds is always hiring.
  14. Railway strike

Johnny Cash Truck is a reference to his "One Piece At A Time" song from the 70's.
  15. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

Don't demonize me for driving what I want and I won't demonize you for being a tree hugger.
  16. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

I may have at some point paid that, but id=f I did I don't remember. memory is the second thing to go...I can't remember the first LOL
  17. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

Shout it loud MaverickEV, we need the break in housing prices. Californios are used to an average price of 500k for a 3 bed, 2 bath 1800 sq ft(or less) home. We are not. And Washington would be more environmentally conscious as it is a shorter drive.
  18. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

I had a Suzuki 380(motorcycle) in high school that had a 3 cylinder engine. No idea what mpg was since gas was cheap(pre Carter) I pretty sure I remember being able to make it to school and work on a tank a week.
  19. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

It's only a 3 hr drive up 49 from Bentonville. The scenery isn't too bad and the drive is better now that 49 through Bella Vista is complete...I'd have gone and picked it up in person if they'd let me.
