Not if they want a hybrid. Ranger is too big, too expensive, and doesn't get great mileage. The Maverick hit the sweet spot for me and right now there is no alternative.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the progressive styling of the SC. The Maverick is ok, but very conservative...just another truck. That said, the price & hybrid option of the Mav swayed me.

I like the advanced styling of the SC and find it much more feature rich. But... I need the most economical option possible. So, the lower price of a basic Maverick XL and the continued savings a hybrid will give won out. Fingers crossed my '03 Ford Explorer Sport Trac keeps running fine...
