I haven't run into that in states I have lived, but I could see that being a factor where an insurance company would require higher/full coverage for a financed vehicle or require some type of gap insurance. Most of the states I have lived in have already required a high level of coverage as the...
A lot of people are also panicking and missing the other side of interest rates - what you can earn in a CD or savings account right now. Some banks have 1-5 year CDs over 5% right now, with online bank savings accounts in the 4.25-4.50% range.
$35,000 @ 4.25% savings/CD over 5 yrs/60 months =...
Are you sure that's a software issue? I had that in an old Ranger and it turned out to be a bad ground wire. I haven't heard anyone else mention this here, unless it's a setting in the menu that was accidentally set.
Some dealers overfilled their orders last year to the point where they were maxed this year. So even though Ford will make the total number of trucks for rollovers by spring-ish, some rollovers are likely to be built a year from now at the end of the 13 month production cycle as the last of...
They're still testing a cruise control-less MY22 XL Hybrid two years after launch, but an interesting read overall.

Others have ordered the same day and have scheduled dates. However, that does not mean anything to any other orders. Each dealership gets allocations of how many Mavericks they can get a month, the allocations will pull tracks from the dealership's list that match what parts they have that...
Either a lie or incompetent. Every dealer was given a sheet of allocations in late June/early July with a number of rollovers, new allocations, and a breakdown of approximate mix (hybrid/EB, XL/XLT/Lariat, the packages).
I called around to 5 or 6 dealerships when choosing this year and only 2...
Depends on how many XL and hybrid allocations your dealer has and how many other XL hybrid rollover orders your dealer has. Even then, not a lot of insight.
Highest reported VIN on the site is 30,3XX. so currently in the 65k-ish range. Based on Ford announcements regarding the third shift and the rate of production at the moment, looking at 120-150k production this year. So they're just around half capacity for total numbers, though XLs have already...
I have the Weather Tech custom fit for my current car and will likely get one for the Mav when it arrives. Usually around $50 and is reversible - the back side is black and will hold some heat to help you out on the occasional frosty, sunny morning if you have it face out (if that applies for...
Your dealer should have given you an order preview when you ordered with a price estimate. Alternatively, you can use the Maverick builder on the Ford website to build to your specs and it will give you the MSRP and shipping.
Your dealer should have provided an order preview, where it might be labelled "Order Code". It should be 4 digits/letters. It is also in the first email you recieved from Ford confirming your order (assuming your dealer did not have all emails sent to them instead).
What do you mean by...
No - each dealership can decide how they want to assign their 4-digit codes internally. Sometimes it's the salesperson's initials and how many cars they told that year, sometimes it's just a letter and a date code, sometimes it's something no one can seem to understand outside of the dealership...
Based on the numbers of XLs orders here, it seems they may be leaving some wiggle room in overall capacity to make sure no rollovers need to happen. How that works with the allocation system though, without rewarding that situation, is a mystery. I like your theory on potential reduction though.
