I expect the ride to be comparable to a mid sized SUV based on the weight and wheelbase.
Of course Ford could have given it a stiffer "truck" suspension.
Until people are allowed to do test drives we won't know for sure.
My guess is the ones under the seat are primarily for storage so that if you have different designs you can select the one you want on the back of the console and the others are will be securely stored under the seat so that they are not rattling around.
My wife had a 2018 Rogue that the system failed to prevent a rear end collision. The position of the auto manufactures is no matter what safety devices are installed, the responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicles is the drivers.
It's a good system to have and I am sure it will get...
It's been many years since I used a drop in liner. Unless they are doing more to protect the paint from abrasion, I would never use one in a new truck.
Typically the front plate holder is only installed in states where it is required. The mounting involves screws into the plastic bumper cover so they would have a lot of pissed off customers if they installed it when not needed.
As near as I can tell from Wikipedia, that factory is capable of producing over 300k units per year just for the US market. I think the only issues will be to supply chain disruptions which Ford has almost no control over.
Thinking about dropping the spray in liner. I'm a mid July order and my plan is to take delivery at the end of the year.
Starting to wonder if the liner will keep me from getting scheduled in a reasonable amount of time.
