It isn't supposed to but there is no real line per se. Ford chooses what to schedule based on parts availability and other criteria that only they know.
I personally prefer to believe that Ford is addressing quality control issues on the hybrid before ramping up to full production. I have no evidence to support that but it's better than thinking that Ford is intentionally trying to manipulate a segment of its customer base to switch powertrains...
I have to admit they look like they were sprayed from the same bucket of paint.
Hope I don't have students expecting me to give them a ride home from school. 😂
Good information.
I believe the 80k was for reservations though. So far I haven't seen that Ford has released the data on how many were converted to orders.
I have no doubt that the Maverick is going to do well against all of the small/mid sided trucks.
Yep, Texas classifies it as a light truck.
Light Truck Transportation Code, Sec. 541.201. Vehicles. In this subtitle: (7) “Light truck” means a truck, including a pickup truck, panel delivery truck, or carryall truck, that has a manufacturer's rated carrying capacity of 2,000 pounds or less.
It works out great for the dealer you are working with as they will get a high demand unit that they can sell off their lot.
Some people waiting on build dates could be pushed back though.
It would be limited by the weight limit specified by the manufacture of the cross bars. The roof of a vehicle will support a lot of weight at the edges which is where the roof rack typically mounts.
