Does yours sound like a marble running into plastic in the dash area? That's what mine has, and my dad's lariat has the same sound.

I PM'd the OP. I need a Lariat's cluster lens and can give my perfect condition XLT's in exchange. 13k miles on it.

Everyone I've talked to say this is impossible. To replace the xlt glass with sound glass from the lariat. How, exactly, did you do this? They only want to replace with exactly the same it came with.

I see. Well, I doubt Ford is going to re-engineer this and come out with an improved part. Wonder what that means for us long term?

What "rumble" are you talking about, OP? My front left corner is making a popping sound whenever that corner loads up in a curve. Is this related?

My aggravation is the transmissions and transmission programming they use to save the owner .5mpg. Great. When that overly complicated transmission breaks, it's going to cost me $6,000 to fix. I'd rather have the .5mpg worse than the stressed, complex, and unreliable trans. Just my 2 cents.

I'm about to swap out my XLT's cluster for a lariat's but also my BCM update is scheduled. I could wait another week to do the cluster swap but I'm impatient and would rather do it this weekend. Would it make any difference to the tech doing my recall?

Well, the rattle came back so you might disregard this. Ill have to dig into it this weekend but my very bad rattle seems to be coming from the upper half of the rear drivers door card.
