Let me know how it turns out. I just talked to my service rep and he agrees with me that the AGM should be the replacement battery for the defective battery in my truck now but Ford is only allowing them to replace it with another flooded battery which will most likely fail, too. I will be...
The BAGM-H4 retails for $229.95. But, this is the part that we all should be pissed off about;go to the Ford parts website and type in your Maverick, year, etc, battery and it will NOT show the BXT-99RT4-A battery that is the current flooded battery that is giving us problems. It only shows the...
Has anyone with a defective BXT-99RT4-A flooded battery had Ford agree to replace it with the BAGM-H4 battery? My dealer says Ford will only pay to replace a similar battery which will most likely fail, too.
The "brick" was a jump pack. I bought one to carry in my truck just in case. I would have them do any updates that are needed while it is there. From what I hear they will only replace with a similar battery which will fail eventually, too. I would ask them about putting in the BAGM-H4 though...
I think the battery is about shot. After a full recharge and then driving yesterday I am already getting the battery saver mode warning on my Ford Pass app. I am hoping the new dealer's service dept can find the issue when i take it Monday.
I have filed a complaint with the NHTSA, complaint #11679313. If enough people complain maybe Ford will be forced into a recall and finally deal with this issue.
Yes, i had it in there in June for the SSM 53801. 3 weeks later I get the battery saver warning so I had them check it again and to again do SSM 53801. I Asked if they were doing that with the engine running and the service advisor said they do their updates key on, engine off which I told him...
Well, I am taking it into another dealer on Monday. The service manager there told me they have a tech that is very good at electronics, finding shorts and drains. I hope he is right, time will tell.
I don't think they want to really spend any time looking for the source of the problem. In their mind they know the problem, ME! I have a call in for my national service rep and am looking into another dealership that will be interested in solving this problem. I fear all the service departments...
They have it in their mind because my truck is low miles that I don't drive it enough to keep the battery charged. Easier to do that than really look for the problem.
After the dealer having my '24 hybrid for 10 days and finding nothing wrong with the battery they charged it and sent it back and said I am to blame because I don't drive it enough. I drove it 5 of the last 6 days but today once again got the battery saver mode warning on my FordPass.
I tend to agree but my hard headed hillbilly ways would make that seem like accepting defeat and letting Ford win. I am old and can be a cranky bastard as my dealership is finding out. Now I am being a cranky old bastard with a national case number on this issue. If enough people complain...
My wife has had 3 Escapes and loved all 3 of them, currently has a '22. Other than the battery issue I have had no problems with either the'22 or'24 Maverick hybrids I have owned. Love the trucks other than that.
