I'll keep everyone informed but, at this point, have no high expectations. I am almost positive it will be " you don't drive it enough" even though I got the low battery warning the day after a highway trip of over 100 miles which should have fully charged the battery.
After only 15 days since the update was supposedly done I am now once again getting the low battery mode warnings. I let the dealership know and I called the National Service Center and have a case number on my truck now. someone from Ford national will call me in the next 24 hours to expedite a...
My service advisor at the dealership said they did the update with engine off. I told them when they took it in it was supposed to be done with the engine running but he said he read the service message and it never said anything about having it in the running mode. We'll see how long it takes...
I had my '24 Lariat hybrid in this week for the SSM 53801 update (again) I have had the low battery warnings regularly since I got the truck in Feb. '24. They replaced the battery in Oct but it did not change anything. I Talked to the service manager when they took it in and told him,per this...
If Ford thinks we should carry a jump pack they should furnish us one.
I make sure my A/C is off before I turn off my Lariat hybrid but when I go back to start it the A/C is on. I had the update done and thought this was supposed to be dealt with. They are picking it up again Monday.
I just had the update done June 13 and on July 3 started getting low battery mode warnings with no interior lights working once again. My '24 Lariat hybrid only has a little over 3,000 miles on it so they blame it on not being driver enough. LOL
Mine does the same thing. They tell me I don't drive it enough and to put a battery tendor on it to keep it fully charged. Funny, I never had to do that with my other cars. I am getting tired of constantly charging the battery. Ridiculous!
I am on my second battery on my '24 Lariat hybrid and getting the same warnings and having to charge the new battery that is less than 3 months old. This is probably the #1 complaint of Maverick owners. I had the same problems on my '22 Maverick hybrid so you would think they would have come up...
With the well known battery issue Ford should NOT have charged you for that battery strictly as a goodwill measure if nothing else. They should also send out a recall and replace every defective battery with the AGM when they do the software update. Perhaps a class action lawsuit would nudge...
It
I don't think they have an AGM battery replacement yet. I am sure it is the same stock number as the old one. Most likely will be OK for a while then do the same thing. Hopefully the software update will take care of this issue and let the alternator start more fully charging the battery.
It only took 23 days after the dealer replaced my battery with a new one for the low battery mode to kick in. Tired of having to periodically charge a new battery on a new truck. Ridiculous!
