I had to walk the salesman through ordering mine last Fall. That was a red flag but I ordered anyway. It amazed me that the sales team had no clue what the options meant. They weren't selling any vehicles and should have been taking the time to familiarize themselves with new vehicles. O well....
I don't understand why you reviewed a basic vehicle as if was a Lariat. Years ago we purchased a plain Jane Fusion for our teenagers and understood that it wouldn't compare to my Limited. Seating and everything else doesn't even compare to what the higher end ones do.
FE requires Lariet Lux which has the tonneau so you can't get the FE without the tonneau or the other 5 constraints she told me about. And yes, FE's ARE constrained as reported to me by an actual Ford person just an hour ago.
I almost went with Machens, I have used them for 20 years now. Decided to venture out and order from Tom Boland Ford instead because of a personal friend.
If she had said that was the only thing they were waiting on, I would have. Don't care much for the one they are putting on it anyway. Isn't it part of a package tho?? (edit: Confirmed, it's part of a package so no choice)
I prefer the remote controlled hard rollups.
I just called the 800-392-3673 for the first time. I don't think I will be getting an email today. Because I ordered the FE Hybrid with CP360, Lariet and tri-fold tonneau, it's gonna be awhile. So, I guess I'll just stop checking for awhile. It was good to hear that they do have by...
FE Hybrid here also, 9/23. Ordered from a small dealer thinking my chances were better, Ha, I should have known better. Urgh. Hindsight 20/20 I would have ordered from my usual big dealer in Central MO also and taken whoever got me one first. Oh well, I'll know next time.
Why do you need a keychain? Keypad on the door eliminates the need to remove any key from the vehicle. With key pads on our houses, we never have any keys to loose.
area51leader summed it up for my reason. We currently have 2 F-150's so getting rid of the older one for one that we can get better gas mileage with makes sense in our household.
