  1. Wireless charging pad connection?

I could almost swear I saw a post and picture someone had of there being another power connection below the console where you could plug in a wireless charging pad (possibly where it would factory plug in if it had it). I have searched the forums but cannot find it again. Does anyone else...
  2. CPLAY2AIR Wireless CarPlay Adapter confirmed to work in Maverick

Same here....gave up on the CPlay2Air, gifted it to my neighbor and ordered a TNVTEC.
  3. FAIL. Throwing in the towel. CPLAY2Air for XLT/XL.

Yes, that was the 2nd thing we tried after pairing it with my neighbor's car and it worked perfectly (the one who has it permanently now), but no joy back in the Maverick. I was hoping that would be the key to force a Bluetooth connection since that appears to be how others got it to work - but...
  4. FAIL. Throwing in the towel. CPLAY2Air for XLT/XL.

Yes, Lariat Lux works fine with as it has the Sync 3 system. The regular Ford Connected Touch Audio in XL/XLT not so much. Only a few have gotten it to work and seems to be with older CPlay2Air units that were previously connected in other cars.
  5. FAIL. Throwing in the towel. CPLAY2Air for XLT/XL.

Well, with the below response from CPlay2Air support, I am done and throwing in the towel. I have passed the CPlay2Air adapter off to my neighbor for his wife's car (none of my other vehicles have CarPlay). I'd rather gift it to a friend than pay for shipping back to China and a possible...
  6. FAIL. Throwing in the towel. CPLAY2Air for XLT/XL.

Well, just a quick update....still not found a way to make it work but have been able to share some good info with CPlay2Air and they are still trying to figure it out. I'm about ready to throw in the towel and stick this one on OfferUp.com if they don't come up with something soon. Honestly...
  7. CPLAY2AIR Wireless CarPlay Adapter confirmed to work in Maverick

@CZaugg I've looked closely but still missing the $15 coupon. Is it a code listed somewhere or did it just show up when adding it to your cart? I'm about done trying to get my CPlay2Air to work (and dealing with their "support").
  8. A larger rear view mirror is needed, the factory one is horrible ....

Which is why I could never work in customer service 😆. Personally I like these threads, gives me things to experiment with that maybe I would not have thought about otherwise. If I find it is not for me, Amazon has a pretty great return policy (like I did with the convex one). But I'm keeping...
  9. A larger rear view mirror is needed, the factory one is horrible ....

Personally, I didn't have an issue with the stock mirror - but now that I put this one on I would miss it if it were not there and would buy another if something happened to it. This thread intrigued me to try it and glad I did. Convex was not for me, but the flat one is great and gives me a...
  10. A larger rear view mirror is needed, the factory one is horrible ....

I just checked the box in the garage. It's the Broadway Napolex BW-176 300mm Flat Blue Mirror. Works great. More visibility and the blue tint is easier on the eyes.
  11. FAIL. Throwing in the towel. CPLAY2Air for XLT/XL.

The key is getting to that connection screen to be able to link iPhone/Maverick/CPlay2Air together. I'd love to see that screen. It stops just when it should go to that point. If nothing else, it still gives me hope we'll all get there eventually. Interesting point about the connectivity...
  12. Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

Cancel notice today as well (from original link). Knew it was too good to be true.... 😆
  13. Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

Well, crap.....FOMO wins. Ordered one too....either it'll be really cool or will end up in the garage never-neverland. But I've spent way more than $19.41 for other things that end up there, so either way I'm good.
  14. Let's talk 2.0 Gas Mileage

Well, to add to my variables - I always have the auto stop/start disabled via switch (autostop eliminator) and I usually remote start it about 3-5 minutes before I get in if it has been sitting cold overnight or after work. Stock Pirelli 225/65s. Don't think tonneau covers really make a...
  15. Let's talk 2.0 Gas Mileage

Mine is getting a little better than that, but I'm about 95% city driving. I picked up mine at the end of November and only have 700 miles. I only live about 7 miles from work but it's all residential, stop lights/signs and hills between here and there. I lean more toward the "Boost" than the...
  16. PTU Failure @ ~400 miles: AWD Fault - Service Required.

Update: Since getting it back from Ford diagnostics, there has not been a single repeat of these warnings, so haven't been able to check if it "limps" into FWD mode when it does this or any other power distribution glitches. Dealer says they still want to replace it to be safe once the part...
  17. Owner creates own Maverick STX look

Well, I guess I'm a non-conformist also..... 😆 Blue and Green accents for the Alto Blue too....and just added the Aqua Blue domed lettering on the tailgate today too (need to get better pics - looks darker in person, think it's my white garage door).
  18. Budget stock Audio upgrades (XL) - plan, research, options and experimentation

Certainly agree it's not the best sound system, but definitely not the worst by a long shot either. IMHO good enough that I'm going to leave it alone for now (except for wireless CarPlay) and wait it out to see what the aftermarket brings to the table. As popular as the Maverick is turning out...
  19. FAIL. Throwing in the towel. CPLAY2Air for XLT/XL.

Update: Well, my neighbor let me try the CPlay2Air to the CarPlay in his car and it worked perfectly (he actually wants one now too 😆 ). Paired right up with my phone and CarPlay easy as can be, so have eliminated any dongle problems. Also loaded latest firmware from support link, but no...
  20. What MPG are you getting with the AWD 2.0 Maverick

I'm only 7 miles from work with a lot of traffic lights/stop signs plus hills. I'm getting low 20's for that kind of driving. But when I do get on the highways the MPG calculator starts to climb pretty quickly. I reset before one highway trip and was at just over 32mpg when I had to stop for...
