If you go to Ford.com the Maverick is listed as a truck. The only "car" Ford makes is the Mustang. So if the manufacturer calls it a truck, I will call it a truck. It's bigger than the Mazda pickup I had 30 years ago and the Mazda was a truck.
I have had full size crew cab trucks with and without a slider. If you try driving a crew cab with the front windows open and no slider to open, the wind buffeting will drive you crazy. I assumed the same issue possible on the Maverick, so I ordered a slider.
I live in Missouri and have not seen a Santacruz or Maverick in the wild. I did find a Maverick on a dealer lot (already sold) and drove about an hour north of where I live just so I could see it.

Thanks for the pics. I don't know if I would have thought to use the pipe insulation to keep the board from rattling. Excellent idea. Sometimes the simplest fixes are the most difficult to come up with.
