Some of the big Chinese automakers are basically doing it already, thatās why they are cheaper, supposedly. Anyone who thinks a domestic brand would pass on the savings would be fooling themselves though.
Seems to be a common problem with hybrids now for some reason. I owned another older hybrid before and never had any problems during 6 years of ownership and I wasn't even the first owner. 16 years old with the original Panasonic AGM battery, it was crazy. The newer hybrids just seem to have way...
All meh stuff to be honest. Drive mode selector? My foot does a better job, gets used 2-3 times a year. ACC? Hardly even use standard curse control. Are those things nice? Yes. Would I pay extra for it? Not a chance.
It shows up on the Ford recall page for my VIN, also only 2k 4pin. The software appears to be for all Mavericks with factory towing setups, regardless of rating. It does not seem to be tied to having a brake controller, since that has nothing to do with trailer lights, which is what the recall...
Just more stuff to fail on the vehicle, and more likely to cause the vehicle to be declared a total loss in an accident, no thanks. I back into parking spots, no need for those sensors, the backup camera and mirrors work just fine. Don't do much freeway driving in the city, and don't use cruse...
You might want a breaker bar or better tire iron for the tire lug nuts, just in case you need to change a tire. The included tool works well enough, but depending on how strong you are it might not work for you.
Not surprising, most users of this forum are older retired people with more disposable income. Other Maverick groups are mostly young, or middle aged XL and XLT owners, like on Facebook and Reddit.
Ford may not release it, but last year one forum member pointed to data released by New York...
Got it a month ago for my 22. I do tow, but have never had this error and trailer lights have always worked. Will most likely get it done when a fix is available.
Short answer, FWD XLT. At this point Ford has stripped away a lot of features, massively increased the price and put HVAC stuff on the oversized screen, so Iād hesitate to get a newer Maverick if I didnāt need 4K towing and AWD. If I did XLT would still be the choice. Would still go with Lux...
Hybrid, no way I'm dealing with a small block turbo and it's gas guzzling habit. I'm not Max Verstappen or Jeff Gordon so I don't go to the track, I don't tow a 2000+ pound trailer, so I have no need for that kind of power. Mostly drive on city streets or low speed rural roads, so not having the...
