One of my tires picked up a small finishing nail a few weeks ago, no loss of tire pressure, and it's pushed in below the surface of the tread so it's not coming out without dismounting the tire. Tire shop would do a warranty fix, but for now I'm just leaving it there. Would have been nice if I...
There was just a guy on the Maverick Reddit page today complaining about Rain-X washer fluid in his windshield washer tank. After using them a few times the sprayers clogged and he had to replace them, because even compressed air wouldn't clear them out. Sounds crazy, and might just be a one off...
Just make sure they don't charge extra. When Ford (parent company, not dealership) here did a survey a few years ago they asked if owners would be willing to pay $75 extra for mobile service. :ROFLMAO: I told them what I thought of that.
MY 22-24 Has to get it done at a dealership, over the air updates for these years are only for the infotainment system - not yet available
MY 25-26 Over the air update, already available
I also use CDs for my home audio system, but find them a pain in a vehicle because you have to store them somewhere. So no hate on CDs here, I just donāt like using them in a vehicle. My last car had a six disc CD player, I accidentally left one in it when I sold it. :( Cassettes though, I do...
CD player, thatās a fancy luxury feature!* I wouldnāt bother with that now that you can put thousands of songs on a USB stick your your phone. If you really want CD quality audio, just copy them in a compatible lossless audio format.
* In 1994 anywayā¦
My RAV4 limited had a sunroof, it was basically useless. It was super noisy when open while driving, so it was closed unless I was parked. I saw no need to get one when ordering the Mav, just something else you have to maintain by cleaning the gutters out to make sure it doesnāt leak, which...
Depends on how you drive. The manual says 150k miles, but fine print says this for for people who arenāt in stop and go traffic and mostly drive on the freeway. For most people 5-6 years or 60k miles, whichever comes first, is a much better schedule to go by.
22 Hybrid (July 22 Purchase) just shy of 47k km (30k miles). Not beaten up too badly, but not show room quality any more. Dinted the tailgate with trailer receiver (donāt ask), and a month ago someone dinted the back passenger door while opening their vehicles door. The odd paint chip here and...
Trusting cheap plastic to hold the seat safely in the event of a crash, yeah that's a no. The creators own notes even say not to use this for a vehicle in motion. :ROFLMAO:
That package required the Larait Trim for some years, 2024 may have been one of them. There plenty of aftermarket backup sensors with beeping if that is what you want.
Itās kind of funny, early on people were worried that every Maverick on the road would be Area 51, because it was the default colour on the build and price page. So people picked other colours so they didnāt get something too common. Didnāt turn out that way, and while I see a few around, they...
Next time this happens try doing a hard reset of the infotainment system. Press the power button in the middle of the volume dial and the FFW button at the same time until it reboots and shows the Ford logo again. Usually you only need to hold the buttonss 7-10 seconds to force a reboot.
There are likely close to 600+k (sales have been above 100k each year it's been available) Mavericks on the road in the US now, chances of seeing them is going up all the time. Used to go weeks without seeing another Maverick, now if I go for more than 1-2 days it's odd.
