Maybe the EB & hybrid operate differently? For sure, the EB AWD's do always start off from a stop with rear assist, perhaps the hybrids don't. Maybe the hybrids don't even have the AWD distribution screen in the meter? Wouldn't surprise me at all if they are different in this regard.
Did you get an itemized list of what they did? It's most likely a complete ripoff. Anything marked as a "check", is just BS. There is no scheduled system flush at 20K. If you have an AWD, it's a good idea to change the PTU & RDU fluid, but I guarantee they did not do that. You basically got a...
While there is a black bear population here in SE Ohio, we rarely encounter them, thankfully. But I did see this guy the other day...the biggest grey fox I've ever seen! 😳 Hard to get scale from pictures, but he had to be 30 lbs...
I'm sure Ranchero was in the discussion, since Ford wanted to go heritage. It certainly would have made sense, but I think Maverick just fits better. 🤠
Definitely a douchey move by the officer. Since it was already done, a warning would have been the class move. Yeah, sure, "legally" you are at fault, but I think there is a better story here, and it's a shame the cop couldn't see it. Incidents like these do not help their public relations. 👎
The REAL annoyance is the damn over-ride that will turn on the AC no matter what if the cabin humidity gets too high. I hate machines that think they know better....🤬
Insurance Co's are different too. Oddly enough, the full coverage on our Mach-E cost LESS than the cheaper ICE Honda Pilot it replaced, and no change to our homeowners, even tho we park & charge in the garage. Further emphasizing to do the research on YOUR actual situation. 🙂
I personally have no interest in a hybrid. ICE and/or BEV for me, but of course, everyone's use case is different, so for some, a hybrid might make sense. You can find plenty of support for any side, pending your prejudice. Know your needs/wants, do your research. 🤠
Some dealers are offering mobile service, but I'm sure there are limits & restrictions as to what applies. The best action would be to call your dealer to get specific information, as it may vary dealer to dealer.
Absolutely! Mine has been bulletproof for going on 3 years, 50K miles, and I don't baby it. It plays the value card better than any vehicle I've had, over 40 years, 20+ vehicles.
I usually don't keep cars too long, but I think I'm gonna see how long I can keep this Mav running... 🤠
You were probably reading about a "traditional" CVT, that uses steel belts & pulleys. The hybrid Mav uses a E-CVT with real gears, so you will be just fine. 🤠
Nice write-up! I opted to put a reusable KN into service, I thought this would be the ideal use for a KN. Now I just wash it out & reuse with each oil change. It's been working great for about 40K miles now, and has paid for itself... 🤠
I just turned 50K on my '22, it has NEVER been that loud. I think you have an issue, take it to a dealer with a reputable service dept. and quit wondering....
