I also received the updated letter from Ford yesterday, indicating parts (batteries) are now available. So, I'm happy to get a new AGM battery in my out-of-warranty Mav, even tho my OEM non-AGM battery has been fine.
If you have a vacuum bleeder powered by compressed air, you don't need any of that to bleed the brake fluid. First, suck out the MC to just before the line connections, then refill with DOT4LV fluid, and start at the passenger side rr wheel, then driver rr, then pass fr, and driver fr, refilling...
lol...says he won't waste time on another walk-around...spends a third of the video doing a walk-around..... 🤣
We love you Tim, but don't quit your sales job...🙃
Actually, the Maverick spec's DOT 4 LV (low viscosity), which is different from std DOT 4, and harder to find. The lower viscosity is said to improve ABS performance (think faster solenoid cycles..).
Also, various (should be) reputable sources state the exact opposite about DOT 3 & 4, as far...
Looks good! I plan on doing the same when my AT3's finally wear out....I have 50K on them, and the tread wear has been really good, still probably 10-15K safely left on them. Love the Wildpeak AT3/4's, great AT tires!
Report back once you get some miles on the AT4's, with your impressions....
There is plenty of performance data on the previous gen Mavericks, and the EB is generally 1 or 2 seconds quicker to 60 vs. the hybrid. So again, what is your priority? Max efficiency, or max performance? It's really that simple.
No OEM is anywhere near that kind of ROI at the lower end of MSRP's. If you can get 6%, you're doing well. The dealer is even less. This is not a $100K Raptor....
Gotcha. There are a small number of folks reporting slightly undefiled (sorry, I had to....🤣) Power Transfer Units, and/or Rear Differential Units, but it's not wide spread, or extreme. I still think it's a sound practice to replace those fluids every 20-30K, it's easy, and only takes a half...
OP, you don't really clearly state your priorities, but hint at FE being important. It also seems the majority of your driving will be a highway commute. It's no secret that the hybrid efficiency shines brightest in urban/city use, when compared to the EB Maverick. It's not clear how much of...
I think we're just splitting hairs here.... maybe the guy that gives his EB Mav a minute to "cool off" after some heavy summer towing will get 250K miles out of his OEM turbo, and the guy who didn't gets 225K from his... who knows. No, it's not "necessary", I think we've all determined that. But...
Right? lol... I figure, for $10, and an hours time, it's a worthwhile investment. But as you say, to each their own... If I were paying someone, I might feel differently. 🤠
