It's a shame that isn't legal in Minnesota. Or probably quite a few areas. One set of headlights, one set of fog lights are ok, the grill mount would make it illegal as it becomes 3 sources of lights if operating at same time. Or at least that's what a state trooper told me when I did this to my...
*Uses tow hook once*
paint chips intensifies.
I like the look... Very sharp, just going to be a sad day when those tow hooks are used, which I'm assuming for almost everyone is never. ( Not hating, love the look, hope the owner has some strong paint).
Well... First oil change with the Maverick. I have had a 3 cars prior. Just traded in my Chrysler 200 3.6 before this and with 6 quarts of oil it always seemed to take forever to let it get to the drips spacing out about 5-10 seconds... Regardless if warm or cold. So when I did the oil change on...
That's a pretty neat idea, I am going to be doing an oil analysis to see what kind of oil they put in/ what's in it after 500 miles. Never seen oil green. And it was more syrupy then the 5w30 I put in, both oils were in a garage during the cold snap. Kinda interesting to see the truck oil run...
I can't say you are wrong! It's a mixture of " it can't hurt" and " this is when a large amount of contamination of oil will occur". I get it occurs naturally in any engine with any mileage. I made the video because no one else put one online, my opinion on the mileage is to give my engine the...
Thank you for the input, I am sure it would be a life saver, did ask for one for Xmas.... Hate to say I didn't get the cheapest gift I asked for, but I didn't get the cheapest gift I asked for😁.
500 mile oil change on my Maverick 2.0 AWD, nothing fancy about my video just thought some may appreciate knowing the process without the FX4 package.
I understand Blakes cars has the FX4 video out, just thought I'd post a quick video on the subject hoping to help someone out. In no means am I...
I live in Minnesota, few snow "storms" with the Maverick, I have 235/65/17 Cooper AT3 4S AT tires on and can say wayyyyy better then the Continental pro-CRAPtact... I mean Procontact. If you live with snow, or are apparently like every YouTuber with a Maverick taking it off roading; then do...
Selling my set of tires. 225/65/17. 150 miles on em, nothing wrong I just wanted 235 AT tires. Pick up in North Branch MN... Minnesota based. $325 OBO. No i didn't beat on em, and yes I did drive 50 miles in the snow and ice with em and didn't have a problem... I just already purchased some all...
This is just an example of why... So you build a truck in Mexico. You fill it up to cold psi requirements, then you transport to a hotter environment, that psi is going to climb, you could even add that the sun has been baking it all day, and then you drive it, and it climbs even more. Now...
Thanks for sharing, I'd do the same for hunting season.... Except my truck got delayed till 3rd week November from shut downs. I'll be attempting to remove rear seat backing and bench for "Ice fishing" instead. Good luck if you are still trying to remove the back cushion/ find a way!
Just a personal opinion. Adding some resonated tips could help lower the raspiness if you are hearing it, and it would be more of a low rumble. I can show videos of my before and after tips with my Chrysler 200 3.6, went from ricey raspy droney to a low clean rumble, lot of compliments on it...
Hi ya'll, making a thread for finding way to stop door chimes, double honk, even a few other features you may hate or love.
Are Maverick owners able to disable/mute thru infotanment system or has anyone tried "Forscan" that works on f150s ect? Just thought some people may like to know how to...
Someone can add to this or say I'm wrong... But think of the average person... If they need a warning that the oil life is 0% and needs to be changed, do you really think they will check a tiny 8-12 ounce container and want to drain it every few months? For a gear head or a car enthusiast... Yes...
Just a few pics from Pine city, MN where I found a Maverick ( no sale sticker... Already spoken for I'd imagine). Just thought some people may appreciate the size comparison of what most people may be going from. I believe a lot of car people are going for a truck with similar mileage but better...
Unsure if asked, I tried to look before hand.... Will you be offering kits for sale as you go such as catch can kits ect.? The first 2 things I want done is throw on some Goodyear Wrangler Trailerunners and a catch can. As soon as I saw you mention catch can my eyes widened!
Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. I saw a post of a maverick using a f150 tailgate assist off Amazon. ($22 I believe if you want to get down to the brass tacks). Has a yellow warning rectangle on the side of the main body of compression tube... Sorry I don't have proper lingo. Look it up and...
Just what I have done in the past->
Sand the lense, spray a few layers of tint. Then buff with a car paint compound, then with a car paint polish. It will lighten them up, make em shiny, and the light will be able to go thru without being jet black, it also helps them look even as you can...
Thanks for sharing, very appreciative! Seeing lots of forms of 245s being thrown on. As a person who lives in Minnesota, knowing full well the tires will kick up salt n garbage year round, it's nice to see those flaps stick out a lot. I have intensions of mud flaps and 235 Goodyear Wrangler...
