What really sucks about the whole allocation mess is having to deal with unscrupulous dealers and a motor company that should be filling customers orders in the approximate order they received them. Ford knew the current auto industry parts and chip allocation issues before they started taking...
Send the letter. It will make you feel better but Ford doesnāt give a rats ass. I canāt remember an auto that has caused this many pissed off unhappy people and so many dealers screwing people in every way they can. Glad I am able to wait. They will be at MSRP and below at sometime in the...
Actually, the Chevy Montana (Tornado) has been sold in Mexico, where they build another compact truck I believe, Latin America, Africa and some other countries since 2003. So you might say Ford was watching and thought it might try again with the small truck ( old Rangers). Ford just got lucky...
I agree with those that feel a few de- contenting will happen just so they can get them made. With people lining up by the thousands to buy they donāt need to make any changes for the new model year. They need to work on higher production numbers.
I want to know where there are Mavericks sitting on a Dealer lot for 6 days. Not here in the Dallas area unless they count how long it takes to get it off the truck, detailed, call customer to come and get it.
They canāt even get the current models out to us. It would be like, you can have the Lincoln Maverick but you need to delete leather, no sunroof, no spay in bed liner, radio when we get the chips and tonneau cover if we have them.
And then those profits are used to build more factories in other countries and let a few executives live the good life. Look at Detroit if you want to see how well the auto companies profits helped that city.
The old boxy Ford Ranger. Looks a lot like the āNewā Maverick. Definitely restrained lines and square proportions of long ago
And then the Hyundai truck of years ago. That thing was super stylish for the time. And now look at how itās changed. Like it or not, Hyundai is not afraid to change.
Looks are subjective. Some like one, some donāt. Goes for both of them. You put the hybrid engine in the Hyundai, which they have some high MPG hybrids and then your going to have some competition. Yes, Maverick is cheaper ( in several ways by design) but Ford canāt get them to the customers...
I canāt believe this NEVER happened during cold weather testing ( if they thought about testing remote start in cold weather). Are only a select few having this issue or is everyone with a hybrid experiencing the issue. Are only those below a certain temperature having this happen? Something...
You think Ford cares? They have to many people who will wait forever and do whatever to get a Maverick. Right now their the only game in town. But, competition is coming.
So basically, if you havenāt gotten your Maverick, you can eliminate some of the things that you wanted on your Maverick and it might get built if it was ordered from a high volume dealer or you may just have to do it all over again in August when hopefully they will be taking orders again...
