My Lariat FX4 did not have this large tube/pump/whatever assembly at all - Will add some kind of heat shield material after I can locate something thick like the OEM version I took a picture of -
The Mavericks Auto Stop/Start is world's better than new Subaru's for instance. Had a rental that basically refused to start back up at an intersection among other issues. Just saying.
One version of the intake but everything seems fine - Just a little less hassle with the electronic booster - Don't have to use one of the adapter plates and move as many tubes.
Still trying to figure out if the "Full" size spare tire rim is the same as what comes stock on an XL ? Also wondering if a worn 235 would fit without grinding the sharks teeth ? Seems like a 245 with trailer hitch would not -
Just finished up an S/B intake. Wasn't really fun but the directions and fit/finish were pretty good - Looks like the Lariat Mavericks have less tubes on the intake since they come with an electronic brake boost module -
Haven't seen this posted before but the main OEM intake tube which rests...
Got her done but man PITA just not the turbo inlet. My Maverick lariat FX seems to have less hoses yay and such. The front intake clips didn't survive removal and I would sure like something beefier. I tried the last push pin from another project but it didn't fit. Is there something better than...
Just ordered it. Have done lots of PITA type intake stuff in tight spaces previously so I am well versed in this nonsense but with the difference in diameter to stock totally seems worth the fight.
Similar issues ongoing after the Airbag recall - I posted awhile back if they just would come out with a slightly larger door frame gasket set that would provide more coverage the issue could be solved.
The increased grill intake and turbo inlet over stock are impressive- Now I just need this unit to go on sale - Replacing that turbo pipe is going to require some tequila :)
