Most Mavericks won’t arrive until after Jan 3rd; but I believe Ford can sell them starting Dec 8th or so (if at a dealer by then). You’d have to check, but most discounts don’t apply to the Maverick. Your specific one may not have any restrictions. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Don’t hold your breath for Ford to come out with an add-on cruise for you. They might choose to make it optional down the road or something like the Ranger XL does, but that is only if the MSRP gets raised a few thousand. Coming out with an add-on would only hurt their cause at this point...

Exactly. And on top of that, i’ve yet to find a vehicle that has the option to lay your phone flat or have it propped up like the Maverick does in the area in front of the cup holders. I’m a big apple carplay advocate though and wouldn’t buy a car without it now.

Pretty sure the original post is referring to the Rav4 hybrid, not the plug-in Prime. There is already a price gap between the Maverick and Rav4 hybrid. Comparing the Maverick with the plug-in Prime only increases that. Heck, why not throw in the Ford Lightning while you are at it? 😄

The website stats used to show 87 for hybrid. 91 is recommended for 2.0 to get posted hp numbers, but 87 is acceptable for 2.0 if you are okay with less power. The 2.5 hybrid is getting 87, as it was designed to run on this grade. Want a car that is designed for premium? Go buy a Mercedes...

The website has showed Maverick name on drop-in for months now, so I would guess we will get it that way.

My 2003 Ram had a drop-in for years. Once removed for an upgrade to spray-in, really not damaged or rusted.

I would have liked an XL had they offered it with cruise control and folding armrest in the rear, but XLT still doesn’t break the bank, so had to go with that. I love the steel wheels of XL though. The front grille looks much better on XL too.

It’s more of a thing for sports cars. Usually reduces flex, but translates to greater transference of road shock. Not needed for a maverick in my opinion. (unless you want to pretend you are driving what you aren’t.)
