Hey all, My mom has a maverick. She purchased new, but has found the interior plastic scratches worse than any other vehicle to date. Has anyone found a way to fix or hide the scratches? Is the blue painted on, or is the plastic just a different color underneath? thanks,

I don’t know. My stock Maverick’s damping seems jarring, so I’m not sure how having such large wheels and lower suspension would still have a good ride, but maybe something is wrong with mine. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Guess it wouldn’t apply there, but I never recommend those kind of car washes for any vehicle.

I avoid washes that your car rolls through. They usually aren’t touch-free and end up scratching the clearcoat anyways. Maybe turn on the brake hold feature as well. I always use that feature. Never have to put it in Park unless I’m done driving.

Agree, but all euro/australian utes have that weird short wheelbase with tailgate hanging way past the rear axle. Not a fan of that compared to full-size trucks where the rear axle isn’t right behind the cab. Never have liked the current gen of Ranger, because it is obvious it was designed for...

I think they were referring to the placement of wheel being right behind the cab, not referring to wheel within the wheel well.

Rav4? More like CorollaCross based. If they built it off a Rav4, it would be Tacoma-sized. Rav4 is huge these days compared to the past. Toyota will come out with something, but it will be a few years, so chances are you can get a Maverick first.

Yeah, I’m surprised to hear that. Contrary to what owners (and dealers) want to believe, no Maverick is worth that much.
