Does anyone know if the oil analysis companies are public or are they privately held? Seems like a good investment based on the Barnum and Bailey theory. How have these companies determined normal range of the parameters measured? How have they determined change in parameter acceptability...

Somehow, I cannot get a handle on this. On a Maverick with what is said to be a good oil life monitor and for at least the first 50k miles, I really cannot justify paying 40 to 60 dollars to get my oil tested, IMHO.................... Maybe with more mileage..........

What is the cost of oil analysis??? Seems like I never see a bad report on the forum. Perhaps because those who get the analysis seem to change oil more than average and seldom at 10K....................:unsure::unsure:

Wow, if my Mav is stolen I am not sure the location of where it went to sleep is real meaningful. I would suspect most thieves can disable this anyway. However, I agree that Ford needs to get the problem fixed.

So is it bad to just take off a battery cable. My Camry manual says to disable battery if not using it for two weeks which I do if I am parked at an airport for very long......

Ford, just replace the dam battery.................................................................!! Going in next week and I will not be happy if my battery is not replaced after the "inspection"!!!

How many dealers will just inspect and not replace when they make a good profit on battery replacement???? I received my notice a few days ago and will be surprised if the battery is not replaced. If not replaced and it then goes bad, it would just add to Ford's deteriorating image on recalls...

I have an EB so not familiar with hybrids. Seems strange that per your photo you have used about 13 gallons of gas but still have 36 miles to empty. On my EB, it is usually about 15 gallons used when "empty" is reached.

I refuse to say how many trouble-free miles I have on my 22 EB. My mother always said "don't push your luck" and I usually learned the repercussions if I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thirty-Six-month warranty is up in July and I will say that I am not planning on getting the extended warranty.

Oh deer............... Sorry for your loss. My 22 EB is just part of the family now. Good luck with repairs and your insurance!! I suspect a medium size deer in MA equals what we would call a large deer in GA.....
