  1. Tailgate not level with bed.

Since they rate the tailgate as a supporting structural member there could be a case that it is unsafe not to be level. Wouldn't that be a biatch if people didn't get their Mav's due to a tailgate cable recall! I would gladly pay for a replacement set, but who is going to make one? Ford...
  2. Tailgate not level with bed.

    * Please note: This topic is in "Bed and Roof Mods" and not in "Issues, Repairs, Warranty, TSB, Recalls" As the title suggests, the cables are too long and the tailgate is not level with the bed. It is also not level with the wheel wells when in the half-up position. People have pointed this...
  3. Bed cubby does fit on drivers side. However...

I had to remove the cubby to do my bed wiring today and decided to try it on the drivers side. It fits, however, the passenger side has another shield to keep water out of that area and the drivers side does not since the muffler gets in the way. One might be worried about heat as well from...

  5. Brake Grinding Sensation

If you suspect that it's a rock, drive it in reverse while tapping the brake. First lightly and then harder. This generally works to remove the rock the way it got in.

  11. 2” Lift Kit from Rough Country

Spacer kits are pretty hard to screw up. Grinding away at parts is not unusual when you are lifting a vehicle. RC has engineers that review the process. The lift in my 1500 Ram required a lot of cutting of factory components and it is a Zone/BDS product. RC builds budget lifts this is true...

  14. How reliable is Ford's tracker vs dealer information?

  15. Lowering springs for Maverick

I couldn't functionally justify lowering my Mav, but I grew up in the 90's with stacks of MiniTruckin mags. Looking forward to seeing some slammed Mavericks!

  17. Hybrid FWD and bad weather

Grew up on the 54th parallel in Canada. Learned how to drive in a Honda Civic and a C10 Chevy RWD in snow the Civic killed the truck. One thing you learn quick when you spend a lot of time in the snow is that gas is usually your best friend. You might not be able to stop in time on the brakes...
  18. *

Thanks for the pictures and write-up. I think with the dark truck the rear wheel off-center does not look as pronounced. It is a nice stance with those wild peaks... I know it's been said a lot that this truck will not be a serious off-road truck but I suspect there is still a lot we can do to...
