Hope this isn't a dumb question, but it looks like it screws into holes that are covered up by the drop-in. Here's the one I'm looking at. Any thoughts on it are appreciated!

Update: I talked with a rep and they sent me this diagram. What I...
Wow, thanks for posting! I wasn't aware there was a tambour tonneau. I thought my options were either flip or roll. I think that will work the best for my needs. How watertight is it...
I'm 61, but hate the needless tech as well (currently driving a 23 year-old Ranger). I haven't gotten my '25 XLT yet, but I have the same fears. Just tell me how fast I'm going and how much gas I've got!
Now I really would have liked to have gotten the B&O sound system. I drove a '24 Lariat with it, but was not impressed at all, though in fairness, I was just test-driving and didn't have time to adjust it. All of the folks chiming in about how great it sounds now is giving me audio envy!
I feel ya. I have the XLT/Lux package on order. I love the look of the Active-X seats, but my dog often rides with me, and she slides around on vinyl (yes, I know I could get a fabric seat cover). I would really like to have had the rear window as well, but have only used it on my ranger two or...
I went back and forth on spray vs. drop-in. The spray cost more, so I'm assuming it's a better option for some reason (I understand that water getting behind the drop-in is an issue). I looked at a spray-in at the dealership, and just didn't like the rough feel of it. I have a drop-in in my 2002...
I remember reading the advice of a Texas weatherman:
"Drive in the snow like your 90-year old grandmother is with you, holding a hot casserole in her lap with no lid on it."
I have a XLT hybrid/AWD on order. I drive a 2002 Ford Ranger, and would really like to hear your thoughts/opinions about the tech shock going from a '97 to a '25.
"I went with the BAP and I'm glad I did because the interior feels much more cohesive and mature and less like a mcdonalds funhouse."
YES! My thoughts exactly, and the same reason I went with BAP even though I don't like the black stripes, roof, or wheels. Thank you for that excellent, detailed...
How can you get them off, and why couldn't you opt out of them? I had to get the BAP to make the interior less ugly, but the stripes and black roof are awful.
I would have paid money not to have all that tech available and just had the essential information in analog gauges. I'm a recently retired designer and worked on computers every day, so I'm not a tech-phobe, but where is the simplicity? How can these cars possibly be driveable in 20 or 30...
I love the Maverick's exterior design (particularly with the 2025 refresh), size, and functionality. That's why it disappoints me so much that the colors are boring and the interior is so ugly and cheap. I wanted one the first year, but the interior held me back. I kept thinking they would...
I think all of Ford's colors are at best boring and insipid. I chose Desert Sand because it was the least objectionable, but I don't love it. I can't see the name "Eruption Green" without thinking of vomit. And I wish to god they had done a simple gray, black or beige for the interior base color...
