  1. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Got some new, accurate data on the weight of the steelies. Had to steal some tires off my new set of steelies, so I weighed one of them, and with the tpms and a small wheel weight, it weighs 26.0-26.2lbs. I did this two different ways, to try and verify in case the scale was off. 1st...
  2. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Now that that post is out of the way, I'll explain my quick test I did! After doing a few 35-5 hardish slowdowns, I did a 60-0 again the same way I did it stock. I started at about 68mph, blasted the brakes, and went to 0. Results: 117' 60-0, 8 feet WORSE than the stock setup! Three reasons for...
  3. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Ok, Brembos are on! They have been tested, bedded, and ready to party! First off, I once again want to thank Eric Bernard for finding out these Volvo S60/V70 4 pots would fit! He seems like a younger version of me, and I think that's awesome! Lol So I think I gave a list of parts needed, and...
  4. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

"The first step, is to jack up your car"-MCM Finally finished the 2019 ford escape project, so QuikRik is getting it's Brembos today!
  5. Tune is meh 🫤

This pass shows you hitting the brakes at 1100 feet or so. That pass should have been really close to a 13.9, judging by the 1/8th mile.
  6. Actual Downpipe gains

Blog : Stratified Automotive Controls Stratified did a pretty good write-up here, I just looked it over as I am very unfamiliar with the RS platform. Looks like they use a 2.75" Diameter exhaust from the factory. That is a substantial gain over what we are looking at stock for stock. I'm...
  7. Actual Downpipe gains

There is plenty of research you can do on what diameter exhaust is needed to support "X" amount of power. The factory downpipe necks down to roughly 2.25" ID if I remember correctly. The headroom a full 3" system gives you over a 2.25" system is massive. I don't need dyno charts to know that it...
  8. Air Filter - Trash Talk

I'm hoping with the 2025 mustang going to it, that it will trickle down to the 2.0 soon. I haven't researched to see if the other 2.3L went dual port in 2025, but it would make sense for all of them to at some point.
  9. 2025 Hybrid AWD Maverick spied photos confirmation! 📸

Interesting, I didn't know that was the case! However, besides the Hybrid badge, there is still nothing confirming this is a hybrid awd setup. The circumstances here still point to this being an Ecoboost model. This is just my opinion of course, but I will always remain skeptical until proof is...
  10. 2025 Hybrid AWD Maverick spied photos confirmation! 📸

This is an extremely amusing thread! You guys are freaking out over a $2 HYBRID badge that they put on this truck. You can Literally see the intercooler through the grill! These techs have a sense of humor and I'm here for it! Lol
  11. 2.3 swap

I think the ST kept the closed deck block through its US life cycle to 2018. I was watching a guy who was showing the dates of when they switched blocks, but it was for the Fusion, Escape, and the Lincoln variants.
  12. 2.3 swap

So I have seen a bunch of people talking about the 2.0 vs the 2.3, and lots of people think the 2.0 is a closed block. It is not. They went to an open block back in the 2015-2017 range, when they also put in the "coolant slits" between the cylinders. In 2019, they revised the block again, to be...
  13. E30 Tunes

So anyone doing the tune for you will do it the same as any other fuel. You'll do some datalogging back and fourth, and they will see what timing it likes. I'm thinking you'll end up with a tune slightly better than zero ethanol 93. Should be a good setup and cheaper than most!
  14. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Thanks for the kind words! I do have a video of my 12.44 run, might even be posted in the thread but if not, it's here:
  15. Why wouldn't a generic catch can work?

Any catch can will work just fine, it just depends on what you want for fitment. The ones made for the Maverick(or escape or BS) "might" have different fittings to be a direct bolt on. Personally, I just splice into the lines using brass fittings, but I'm all function, very little form.
  16. Livernois tuned 2024 Ecoboost Maverick

Do you have a Dragy? I think some before and after runs are in order! Glad you are enjoying the newfound torque!
  17. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

I will for sure look into it! It's going to be hard to do a lot to the truckette in the next few months, as I'm coaching 2 baseball teams and assisting a 3rd, lol. That and I'm flipping a 2019 Escape where I'm rebuilding the engine, but I love to get into the weeds on side stuff, lol. Thanks...
  18. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Well, my 98% sure turned into 0%!!!! Hahaha. I didn't want to take the brake line off and have to bleed it, so I made a very bad assumption! The factory line uses 10mmx1.5 thread, with an inverted flare. So back to the drawing board. I'll try to find a -3AN to female inverted 10x1.5, that...
  19. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Small update: The 3AN lines and the last two fittings should be in today! I am getting excited to see this play out! I do have my reservations that this will improve the 60-0 distance, but I am in uncharted territory, as this is the first brake upgrade I have ever done! Here is a quick...
  20. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Well, I've changed the setup I was planning to do! I have ordered fittings and and lines that should be in late this week. I decided to just do 3AN stainess lines, with adapters on each end. The adapters needed are 10x1.0mm bubble flare to 3AN, and 3AN to female inverted flare 10x1.0mm. I'm...
