Found someone on reddit with March 29th 2023 build date XLT Hybrid and showing the new recall.
But there are couple of other replies with March 14 build and clean recall status.
This seems to be a hit and miss. Maybe the new fixed parts are already in use before the end of recall period.
Anybody with 2023 build dates and showing recall on ford website?
Mine was built late April 2023 and still not showing recall on https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/
Cars are not depreciating assets, at least not in the last 2 years...
But agree that most toyotas are over hyped. You'll be tired of their ugliness long before they falls apart lol.
don't walk away from this dealer, run.
Since you don't have any kind of documentation / contract showing that YOU ordered the maverick, I doubt any lawyer would help. All you can do is file a complaint and move on, unless you are willing to pay the markup.
I believe AC system needs to be vacuumed before filling, at least that's how house AC systems work. Otherwise the moisture and refrigerant oil can become corrosive and cause long-term problems.
Curious how high you have to jack up the truck to replace radiators? I replaced the radiator on my...
escape starts at 32849 CAD and escape phev starts at 47499 CAD. That's over 40% premium for phev.
with the amount of driving that I'm doing it would take over 10 years to break even, not even talking about opportunity cost / car loan interest.
On the other hand hybrid Maverick at no premium...
with all the time you spent going back and forth with ford and dealer you can easily install the drop-in bedliner yourself.
That's why I never go to the dealer or mechanic if I don't absolutely have to...
I'm sure there are temperature sensors in the HV battery module. If the valve is stuck closed in winter all you get is the battery will take longer to start charging / discharging thus affecting mileage.
But agree that valve stuck open might be an issue, if the heat from the exchanger exceeds...
I'll be doing the same. Mixing plastic part with hot exhaust is pretty idiotic design.
Unfortunately I live in the north but I'll rather deal with the reduced gas mileage than to replacing the whole rear exhaust for thousands and only to have it fail again.
In the same boat. I did try to sell our beater on Craigslist but I gave up after meeting with 2 potential buyers. You have to be aware of the demographics of people looking for 2000 bucks cars. Without going into too much details I decided to never deal with those people anymore.
I did call a...
In Ontario as well and I also saw my truck moving to "in production" ahead of the schedule date. However a date is only showing up under "production" 1 day after the original schedule date. I believe the tracker might be showing production when the build order has been sent to the factory. It...
Having a plastic part with cooling fluid bolted on top of your exhaust sounds like asking for trouble. No doubt that lot of people will be bypassing the stupid heat exchanger when the truck is out of warranty.
