  2. XLT vs. Lariat Debate

Ford won’t tell anyone what it is. They will tell you it’s not vinyl. It’s a chemically made synthetic material they invented. Vinyl and Neoprene are also chemically made synthetic materials. Vinyl tends to be stiff and cracks easily while ActiveX is more durable and age resistant than leather...
  3. XLT vs. Lariat Debate

I pay less for my maverick insurance than I do a 2016 Chevy Cruze. I asked why and they told me the deductibles. Several of the big ones only come with Lariat Lux. I got a few extra options I wanted, some extra safety features, nicer seats and additional insurance deductibles. Personally I...
  4. XLT vs. Lariat Debate

You would recover that on insurance before you get the lariat paid off. You get deductions for the additional safety features that are only available on the Lariat. Also Lariat seats are not Vinyl. They are a synthetic leather and Ford has been using this in place of leather for almost the last...
  5. Cutting corners

I just googled a bunch of spindles and steering knuckles. None of them are painted on the machined edges.

I'm glad you saved the day while I was editing my post.
  7. How to remove the key from the key fob?

You push the textured button beside the keyring hole and pull it out. If you're referring to the XLT. Anyone capable of making duplicates would know how to do it. Since they do require programming to even start the vehicle.
  8. Government buying mavericks

I’ve been waiting 6 months for a few fleet vehicles and almost a year for a forklift. Everyone is waiting and we didn’t order Maverick’s.
  9. Government buying mavericks

I’ve already seen quite a few mavericks in fleets. If I recall someone on this forum has 9 in their fleet. A company I work with has 20. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them in other fleets.
  10. FYI. Looks like 2.5 Hybrid owners need not fear 2.0 Ecoboosts on the streets.

2.0 eco boost results on 93 is usually around 6.2 seconds 0-60. Your chart shows 7.0 which is off from the 6.4 to 6.6 others are getting on 87. Of course the driver and altitude could also affect the numbers. Some are getting 5.5 0-60 tuned on the 2.0. Here’s Edmunds results...
  11. Driving your Maverick Fast

I have the AWD 2.0. I’m trying to figure out how to not drive fast….
  12. šŸ™‹‍ā™‚ļø What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Gave it a cover. I need to adjust the rails slightly, but it fits.
  13. MY22 Order Honesty?

Or poorly ran suppliers. That’s an issue I get frequently. Suppliers give delivery dates, product shows up two weeks later with no communication or updates. Unfortunately that’s an issue that can start at the bottom and make everyone look bad on up the line.
  14. Built to shipped timeline

I think mine was around 5 to 7 days awaiting shipping. However it was in production for over a month.
  15. MY22 Order Honesty?

How could they know? They don’t control every point of the supply chain. If they are expecting a part delivery on a specific date and schedule trucks to be built. However the supplier of that part doesn’t deliver on that date. Instead the supplier delivers 4 weeks later. Ford just got a 4 week...
  16. General Tremor Predictions

I predict no front camera. 😁
  17. Mirror cap removal???

From what I can tell the Bronco Sport and Maverick have the same mirrors. I’ve not taken them off and compared them. Just noticed it when a BS parked beside me.
  18. Im guessing soon, very soon Ford will be releasing 2023 info

https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/product/2023/maverick/pdf/2023-Maverick-Tremor-tech-specs.pdf Here’s the only 2023 info I’ve see so far.
  19. Video: Technical Deep Dive 2023 Maverick Tremor

You can’t process an order online. You can do selections online and the dealership processes it. I think you may have had some confusion or lack of knowledge on the order process along with an inexperienced sales person causing your issues. The order process is done between the customer and...
