Perfect explanation. Mine did this for the first time today as well. Vibration is exactly like when you forget to downshift a manual or you almost stall it. Lugging the engine at 1200 rpm. Did anyone here ever find a fix for this?
Today i was driving about 35-40 mph and gave slight gas to accelerate. It was about 1200 rpm and didnāt downshift. Felt like it was lugging and got a low frequency noise and slight vibration until it finally downshifted. Exactly like when youāre driving a manual trans and forget to downshift or...
Good to know. I was pretty much always in normal mode but Iāve been driving like a grandma trying to get good mileage. Maybe that has something to do with it. Iāll start being more aggressive and see if it helps
Just noticed this for the first time in my eco awd. 1100 miles. Tried to accelerate at about 35 mph and it stayed at 1200 rpm for about 2 seconds before it downshifted. It shuddered like a manual trans when you forget to downshift, or you almost stall it. Itās done it twice now. I get the whole...
Rustoleum spray paint. Removed all the tire shine and wax that was on them from the dealership, scuff with red scotchbrite pad, taped off the tire. Looks decent for now but probably wonāt last too long. Powder coat or having it done professionally would be ideal
Somehow I never saw this post. Looks great man! How do you like the exhaust? I want more sound but hate drone in the cabin when at cruising speeds. Also I Plasti dipped my ford emblems, may redo it so the āfordā and chrome ring are gloss black. How are you doing yours?
This, or even a v6 ecoboost would be awesome. Eventually Iām sure weāll see an ls swapped maverick as people seem to put lsās into everything lol.
I have an eco with awd 4K and got 29.5 on my recent 500 mile road trip with my 400lb atv in the bed. The handlebars and front fenders were sticking up over the roof though so that definitely hurt the mileage. Also the first 60 miles of the drive was stop and go traffic. It was at 31 at times.
Itāll probably get light surface rust pretty quick if it gets wet. I would. Probably not a huge issue though. If it gets light surface rust just hit it with some steel wool before painting to remove the rust
