The deposit requirements vary from state to state and perhaps dealer to dealer. In my case, I put $100 for the reservation, I don’t think it was even called a “deposit “. It was refunded to me after my Maverick delivery.
I have a second reservation for a Hybrid XLT and I wasn’t required to put...
Are you using your different drive modes? On long drives I always set mine to Eco. Just remember that every time you turn the truck off, it resets to the default Normal mode.
I’ve gotten down in the sub-20s mpg a couple times, but I had my foot into it, was going uphill with a serious headwind.
87 octane here. Tried premium once with no increase at all. As far as using premium when it’s “hot”, what does that mean? I know people who call 80 F “hot”. Where I live 110 F and above is hot, 100 to 105 F are actually nice summer temps out here.
You’re talking my area now, I’m in the Palm Springs/ Indio area and Big Bear would be nice this time of year. Holcomb Valley is an easy drive for almost any vehicle, as long as it’s open. Joshua Tree NP is my favorite because it’s so close but it’s getting hot out here now.
I kept getting similar messages during the wait process once the truck was in production. When there’s a change in status it takes a day or two to refresh and should update automatically.
Slightly above 100 MPH while passing, NB I-15 on my way to Las Vegas. Typical traffic out here is between 80 and 90 MPH.
Got passed by CHP once going 85, makes me think they’re looking for speeders going 20+ over the posted limit. 20+ over the speed limit is reckless driving, 2 points vs. 1...
Mavericks I have seen:
CA: 2, one was a white hybrid with numbers on it, like a fleet vehicle
AZ: Saw a CA registered A51/ FX4 at a Dodgers Spring Training game in Phoenix
NM: A Hybrid Lariat EB on I-10
Texas: None (El Paso)
NV/ Las Vegas area: None
UT: None (St. George)
I like my Ford-branded tonneau. Factory installed, no muss no fuss! It’s around the $1200 mark, so it’s in the ballpark. You may be able to get one from Ford accessories with at least a 10 or 15% discount.
Twice this weekend alone plus one of them offered me a job… a woman who drives for Carmax and knows her cars talked to me at Sams Club in the gas line! 🤣
I have 245/65-17 Wildpeak Trails on my AWD. Great tire, nice and quiet, still getting 25MPG… just an all around great tire.
I did find out after installation that the tires are meant for unibody SUVs and crossovers, maybe that’s why the ride is nice.
So far so good, no issues and I just passed 6,000 miles.
Then again, my lift is nothing very extreme, both with the lift and tires. I drive a lot for my business so I needed a middle range truck. Still getting 25MPG freeways, less if I put my foot into it ! Lol
Will update if any major issues arise.
What Naranjita said just reminded me that Ford announced the Everest today. So there’s another SUV already.
BUT, since the Maverick is already a Hybrid, it seems a likely candidate for a smaller, fuel efficient SUV or EV.
SUVs based off the Ranger and Maverick platforms may push aside the...
